I don't mind callouts like "Crystals spawning soon" or "Focus Red they're Ahead". Some people do just throw fits or get weirdly full of themselves though.
Agreed. Like, my brother/sister in Hydalaen, it's Frontlines, it's not like it's Ranked PVP. Honestly, if you're that into PVP, FFXIV probably isn't the best game for it.
Never encountered this, mostly just people complaining about the call outs, and it's usually one dude who has said nothing the entire round but complain
I had a dude who literally marked himself and told EVERYONE to follow him where ever he went. Like he spammed the chat with SEs every time he changed direction. Weren't even good calls.
A few days ago I got a Frontlines where Adders and Flames were beefing with each other while Maelstrom were just going back and forth between our crystal and Adders. Its like they forgot we existed and it was the easiest and quickest fucking win I've ever had in an FF14 PVP match. It was so chill.
While these Frontlines commanders have good intentions, I really sometimes wish I could turn off other people's chat sound effects; especially when they spam macros in alliance chat ad nauseum.
I'm always so confused when they give vague commands like "We're split!!! We need to group together!!!". Group together where? Do they want me to drop what I'm doing or am I already in the right place? Or "follow these 2 marked people, who will never be in the same place at the same time, and timed attacks only apply to one of them".
@@tvcak3s414 I always have my map open. If there's two main groups each at their own objectives/battles and both doing poorly, which one am I supposed to be with? The callout leaves everyone to decide where they should group for themselves, which is what they were doing anyway.

Lol I love when someone gets mad we aren’t playing as a team but then doesn’t give any direction. If you want the team to work as a team someone has to give an instruction. I just run around and try to ko as many people as possible if we win that’s a bonus 😂

lmao 99% of people are doing frontline roulette for exp and the try hard 1% are chasing some achievement / armor . It’s the minority that needs to get a grip and realize that you win some and you lose some

I usually play with those sounds off for everyone.
I keep the sounds on anyway. I kinda need those to get my attention for quick reaction. As long they do not spam "irrelevant" cat macro.
The DRK emotes with update every five seconds, that also spam sounds...my faaaaav.

Shamefully, I am that alliance member sometimes
90% of the toxicity in mmo's can be avoided by staying away from pvp
It's the sound effect used for the fit-thrower that gets me 🤣very REAL

Sometimes the pain of needing so many more Frontline wins to get that mount is too much to bear

Yup lol and SE doesn’t have enough “resources” for PvP except the hundreds of millions of dollars for subs and ffxiv mogstation and store smh sad
