Hello, I am trying to simulate the pattern of an air diffuser as part of a school project. I modeled the diffuser pattern with a plenum box and round duct, and I closed the model by placing a lid at the end of the round duct and extruding a square box around the diffuser as a room model. My main problem is specifying boundary conditions. I already specifed an inlet volumetric flow at the round duct lid but I am not sure where to specify the pressure boundary conditions. Do you have any advice you could give? Thanks
Dear GoEngineer! I'm not HVAC engineer but I really want to learn about this. Could you guide me how to define the heat source (for example a machine)? heat load how can define it?
Hi Rohit, It appears one of our techs is already assisting with your question as it is posted to the SOLIDWORKS Community Forum here (forum.solidworks.com/thread/208241).
I try to practice as your guideline but have this problem? could you help me for this? Face@LEAK PART-3 is not laying on the boundary between solid and fluid region.
Hi Pierre, This error would indicate an issue with the program recognizing the fluid volume for the flow project. The program does not think that the face you are selecting is touching fluid. Your next step would be to use the Leak Tracker tool to determine if you have openings from the external environment to the internal environment that would cause the fluid domain to not be recognized (like this: ua-cam.com/video/ad323Hc6-9s/v-deo.html ).

Hej I am looking to simulate a grease tank with water and diesel. Can you guide me how to go about it?

@@goengineer Thanks you so much, I already solve it.
