I've been trying to figure out which of the Solidworks features I should use to test the flow of water around a newly designed fishing lure. I was hoping to simulate the lure as it's being reeled in. Would it be better to use this flow simulation or would a wind tunnel simulation be better? The soft plastic fishing lure in question has a paddle tail that's designed to move from side to side as the water pressure on the forward facing side of that paddle tail. Is there one Solidworks evaluation or analysis feature that is better suited for this type of simulation?
Is it normal that the pressure in the narrow part of the nozzle is lower than at the inlet?? In a straight pipe it is expected to have a pressure drop, but in a case where the section is being reduced, it is expected to see a pressure increase. Not a drop. Any idea of what is wrong with this simulation?
Your tutorials are really helpful! Please can you tell how to input negative pressure as input and how to modify the part model if simulation result is not as expected?
I know that I need to create a temporary body to create a surface parameter to know the average value of flow rate at inside the nozzle. how to do this?
