When it comes to educating children, it is important to enlighten them with affection and motivate them with reason. Punish them when they make mistakes while also helping them restore a balanced state of mind.
You have to highlight all the great things you learned from them. Then explain why expanding your horizons in other areas/skills will help you get a more rounded experience.
I am just recently graduated with an ascociates in accounting and I am looking to gain expierience as I work towards my batchlors. Yet I am unemployed still and getting fruaterated. Your videos have been helping me gain inspiration.
Excellent video! I had a similar experience with my first boss. She was a terrible mentor so I left that job. The good ones challenged me to give the best and it was easier to learn and made me feel motivated. I wish at schools they could include a class of how to be good mentors because we are at some point of our lives a mentor for someone else...
I’m the exact same way with people asking me questions twice. If they ask me a question and I answer it and they ask me the same question again later I’ll just straight up ignore them lol. Also I relate to the experience of teachers telling me to do things without telling me why we’re doing it. I never even start doing it until I figure out why I’m doing it.
Could you give me some advice ,please? I graduated in Naval Architecture engineering.Currently,I am working in Global business department in Japan. Also,I have machinery sale support experience for 2 years.I want to change my career to finance. So,I am learning CFA level 1 now.Do you think I can change my career to finance analyst in ship building field with my work experience and CFA level 1 pass?Or should I attend master in finance after achieving CFA level 1?
Great video, definitely going to use the Push for questions when looking for an internship. That said, what kind of internship would you suggest? Bank/Big 4 (although accountancy isn’t my best thing)/something else? Any suggestions is appreciated, I’m clueless where to apply hah.
Hi I really enjoy your videos and your presentation style. Can you do a video on how you prepare for presentations, and pubic speaking in general within the business environment. Thank you!
I have HND in accounting, presently in an accounting firm, but am not learning anything there. My salary is 34k. My dream is to be a professional accountant. Pls I need Ur mentorship on what to do.
Great videos like always. I graduated BBA in Accounting 2011. I did some internships at the beginning after graduating but then I got out of track. Now, I really want to get back into accounting field. Any suggestions that you could give me on how to approach the gap. Thanks ahead keep the good content.👍🏾
You should be able to land an entry level staff accountant role. It’s a candidate market right now. Maybe show your relevance by either start studying for the CPA or take a couple of online accounting courses (Udemy is ok) that can issue you a certificate of completion
Thanks Bill! Very valuable input. At 7 years of my career, I been digging around / self learn in my job. Mentor is very hard to find.
I work for an old school controller now! Lol what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger
As always, great content! You have no idea how much your videos have helped me haha. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching 🙏

Great video. Which areas of accounting would you say are globally transferable? Which areas would you say are not? Thanks
Thank you ❤️
Amazing content as usual, but somtimes you train others and develop them, but then they start to compete with you, you'll end up fighting for your job

Do you have a video on how to recommend better accounting processes?
I'm looking for a GAAP certification course. Does anyone have suggestions?

big 4 is very valuable. But I like banks as well as second option (just not retail bank of course, such as teller and so on)

@@TheFinancialController Thanks a lot this is really appreciated.
My manager is the same age as me in our mid-thirties. Is that ok to have as a mentor?
Yes. Age not an issue
Do you think u could get in the cia as an accountant?
Discord group joining Link?
Yeah not acceptable today and I would NOT advocate for a second, even in the title. :(
Screaming at you did not work. True mentorship did.
Agree with you and I actually changed the title
