This is a video on Front brakes replacement on your Audi Q3 and also many other Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat cars. This set up is used on many VAG group cars, so will be helpful to many people out there.
In this video I will show you how to replace and service front pads and discs.
Please follow all the instructions properly and make sure that everything is safe and done up properly!!!
Torque settings:
Carrier to hub bolts 180-200NM
Calliper to carrier 30NM

Thank you for the video, really helpful. As over the years, I open the brake fluid reservoir cap, release the pressure when pushing the pistons back. Then check the fluid, might be over the top level.

Good job description, thanks Alex. Got to do my Q3 brakes now, squealing like mad! Tip: after cleaning and using the grease I usually change my gloves to avoid contaminating disc and pads. And when that's done I then have to sort out my Velocette LE 😉

Zomfg the rears require the triple square bit. That was horrendous.

2016 q3 the electric handbrake won’t affect changing the front pads will it?
No. Front ones are just normal ones. Just make sure u have got enough room in brake fluid bottle for all the fluid to retract to when u push pistons in

Thanks for this content keep it going. Question. After everything is installed and you pump the breaks is the break fluid cap still left of at this point ?

At that stage as long as you got enough brake fluid in there u can close it
