Dr. Goodin does an amazing job describing, explaining and telling us where these bony landmarks are. I also appreciate that he tell us where the muscles connectto specifically.
i really like how dr. goodin goes in depth and explains all these muscles and also how to find the bony landmarks thats really important and helpful for me when learning , it reminds me of anatomy class and how find certain bones or muscles in the body
I really appreciated how you would underline the bony structure and then highlight on the diagram. This helped me to learn the name while also visualizing the location.
It was really helpful to see where exactly Dr. Goodin was referring to on the bone by him coloring certain sections red to help us see. I think this is really helpful for us who like to visualize things.
The hip and pelvic girdle is such a detailed area when it comes to what they can do. I feel that seeing the insertion sites directly marked as you go through them really helped clear up where everything is and where it may be going.
I appreciated how you went through the bony landmarks and related them to the origins of different groups of muscles. It will make memorizing the functions of the muscles easier later on.
These videos are always a great help. They cover information in more depth, which helps to give a better understanding of why each landmark is the way it is.
I really like how each part that is being talked about is underlined in red as well as marked in the pictures. Also, its super interesting to see how the pelvic girdle fits together.
Thank you for specifically highlighting the landmarks are located. Sometimes when looking at a picture it is hard to try to find the different locations so having them shown is really helpful.
Dr. Goodin, thank you for your detailed explanation of the bones and structures of the pelvic girdle and hips. I appreciated the way you chose photos that also has detailed outlines of where each of these structures were located.
Learning about the bony landmarks can be tricky. But when everything is separated into their respect groups makes it that much easier when learning them. Thanks Dr.Goodin!
I loved learning about how the anterior pelvis is where the hip flexors originate. It is super interesting to think about all that goes into movement. Our bodies are so complex, yet structures like the hips allow so much stability that we are able to move with great force. I appreciated the reminder that the gluteus medius and minimus originate just below the iliac crest.
This video did a great job of emphasizing the importance of knowing where all the different bony landmarks are because the pelvis is very complex and can move in many different ways.
This video was really helpful to understand how all the bony landmarks relate to one another. I feel like I have a better understanding of them for the palpation lab.
This video was really helpful because it allowed me to practice my bony landmarks which is useful for this class and what I am currently learning in other classes.
This video was super helpful! Seeing where each muscle originates and inserts on the bony landmarks really made sure that I knew about where the muscles sit in space.
I never considered the sound a femur breaking would make until today. And after scrolling around some I managed to find some and wow, it was a distinct pop, even in the middle of a wrestling match you can hear it (don't know if it was an actual femur break, benefit of the doubt). Comparing that sound to the sound I heard when I haven broken a bone (of mine), the femur break sound definitely sent a shiver down to my core.
Thank you for placing identifying which muscles do specific actions and placing them all in that specific action or category, it made everything a lot more organized and easier to visualize.
what I liked about this video was how you pointed out the bony landmarks on the pictures for the hip adductors and hip abductors, and hip extensors and flexors

I don't remember going too far into depth with these muscles and landmarks, so I am excited to learn about the different muscles here and apply the knowledge!
I love the separation of each region with each origin it really makes it easier to organize and learn. I learned the pelvis in great detail in anatomy but still there was more to learn so thank you for this
Dr. Goodin, This may be my favorite section we cover all semester. I find lots of complications in my lower limb when it comes to mobility and flexibility. I am excited to dive deeper into these next two weeks in class and master the hip musculature, skeletal structure, and its joint actions.
I found this video to be helpful in distinguishing the origins and insertions of the muscles in the leg. The visuals Dr. Goodin added with labeling different aspects of the pelvic girdle and femur were really easy to follow a long as well.
It was helpful to see the hip joint broken into segments for the origins of the muscles, i.e. hip flexors originate on the anterior thigh, etc. Seeing how many muscles, bones, and ligaments originate at the hip joint made it clear why it is so stable as compared to the shoulder!
The hip and pelvis are very complicated for me but this video definitely cleared up some of the confusion. This video helped me with the naming of the muscles.
Grouping, the muscles into each individual region definitely made it easier for me to follow. Hearing you talk about how complex the pelvic girdle is was super eye-opening to me during the video.
