Disney 100% is not improving their technology. They could very easily implement proffies if they wanted and keep prices low. You can get proffie boards in bulk for less than 30 dollar each. They don’t improve because 1) gullible people buy whatever Disney dishes out and call it gold and 2) they like selling their own accessories for those gullible people. The Disney sabers really aren't that bad. Sure the blade isnt as bright, but that doesnt mean they are good. They are more affordable than most saber brands and in defense of Cal's specifically, it's meant to be big as its Jaro Tapal's saber which call uses.
If it was only cals sure but all of them are way to big. Disney didn't make cals large because Jaro is a lassat (idk i spelled that right) they did it because they're out of touch . It's also just the fact that what you get from Disney should be a legit lore accurate product being made by the company that owns star wars but instead you get a second rate , and oddly proportioned thing with lack luster internals for with everything included about the same price as a well made lore accurate Saber with solid internals
I think most people feel safe buying them from disney. I have a lot of them not saying they are the best ( I use them for display purposes), I do have two Cal sabers, and I think that since Jaro Tapal (Cal's master) was Lassat it does make sense that his lightsaber is large. Many Cal sabers too seem to small. Disney one is still too big despite this
Neopixels are very awesome. I’m gonna get a scavenger saber really soon. But I think certain lightsabers from Disney are good too for their own reasons. The cal kratos Disney saber sucks, but I like the count dooku saber because, even though it’s a little chunky, it’s still very detailed and good for people who want a replica without spending 500 plus. The savvis sabers are cool because of that same reason AND you get to customize your own version of it. If I had to pick if still rather get the neopixel saber but there’s things I like more about Disney sabers as well.
Same. It’s a pretty elitist take. “Throw it away?” Please, I hope that was a joke. I love my Savi’s saber because the whole experience made it feel like yours. It’s worse than any neopixel by any means but I’m not looking to min-max every decision of my life nor ignore the fact that there was more to the experience than just buying a lightsaber. The Savi saber is my cherry on top to an amazing theme park experience with friends and seeing a universe I love come to life. For that alone, it’s worth it. Dude’s judging the saber from totally different criteria than why people get the Disney sabers in the first place. Gonna buy myself a neopixel Luke Skywalker saber eventually though lol
I might need to pick one up for myself TBH. I love the all the details on the hilt. I also like how there’s tip drag on it, that’s something that they didn’t need to add in. Keep up the good work man!
People always say “it’s not the quality of the saber, it’s the experience you get from building it”… okay and when I get done building it, it’s still chunky asf and the blade is dimmer than a fuckin Nook E-reader. Neopixel will always be better
Im sure building one is a really cool experience, I actually wanna do it. Its just in the end down the road, i guarantee youll rarely pick up a Disney saber cause its just so bland. Neopixels starts at $160 and do way more
The experience doesn't bring any quality to the product. At the end of the day, Disney's are overpriced, chunky, oversized and cheap in tech. They are objectively and vastly inferior.
Can you not compare two completely different products? I mean yours cost like more than 500$ do you really think I’m gonna pay that much for a lightsaber?
Yea neopixel got the fancy lights and sounds but the exposed wiring from the saber being cut in half is like the best part that a lot of replicas leave out.
Disney sabers are so overpriced and not worth it, they sell sabers at overwhelming prices and don't even give their loyal customers and fans the best quality, I think Disney should sell Neopixels because their sabers are already the price of an average Neopixel and since Disney literally owns Star Wars they should have the latest technology.
But the neopixels of similar price are generic, non replica sabers. That’s the point of the Disney ones is mainly to be replica display pieces and the same replica for neopixel can be 2-3x the price
Disney knows kids and parents will still buy cause they dont know better so they don't even try, people need to Stop letting them play them at Disney world
I got a complete custom blade for my Elemental Nature saber that honestly is so much nicer than any neo pixel saber I've ever seen, especially for the price of them. If neopixel or artsabers or any of them come out with an affordable hilt with a Rancor tooth, then sign me up
I think it’s the experience of building it at Disney even I am looking forward to building one with my son when he’s a little bit older, so I give it about two more years

doesnt cost 500 ...youre trolling your self
Two legends can coexist. Plus Disney sabers are good for the price.
I love your cal kestis replica it looks so beautiful and so accurate
Cant afford either and settled for 28$ temu lightsaber💀
Finally! A "good" lightsaber where it doesn't take six whole seconds to activate!
Bros entire personality is lightsabers
online yes but in person unfortunately also yea
@@Tuhqa damn atleast your honest about it respect
People pay for the experience...it's pretty cool. They don't go for quality lightsabers but the journey you do for it
I feel targeted. I would never throw away my chunky Savis Disney saber.
Both have their place in the fandom.
That ratchet ignition sound is incredible
Bro, I’m still freaking out that you actually replied to my comment. Thank you so much.
💛
I might need to pick one up for myself TBH. I love the all the details on the hilt. I also like how there’s tip drag on it, that’s something that they didn’t need to add in. Keep up the good work man!
Yeah but how much you pay for your lifesaver? I only dropped $150 for mine. You're spending way over 400
The second light sabor sound test sounded the best, it's the I'll have to defend myself.
Neopixels starts at $160 and do way more
@@Tuhqa I got the 160$ neopixel about a week ago and it’s definitely worth it
@@_xx_3691 Awesome!!!
You dint build legacy sabers so there's no experience.
Thanks Mr obvious really showing that a saber costing 400 bucks more is superior
The quality of the Star Wars Disney one is superior. You get the experience of building it. Which you don’t get just buying it
The experience doesn't bring any quality to the product. At the end of the day, Disney's are overpriced, chunky, oversized and cheap in tech. They are objectively and vastly inferior.
Can you not compare two completely different products? I mean yours cost like more than 500$ do you really think I’m gonna pay that much for a lightsaber?
Cal kestis is my favorite jedi
loool you are comparing a 150$ saber with a 500$ 💀💀💀 what kind of sick person would spend the price of a ps5 on a glowing stick?
Remember boys, longer doesn't always mean better.
Judge by size, do you?
The differences between the Disney and the neopixel sabers are so big, we should stop to defend the Disney sabers!
Yea neopixel got the fancy lights and sounds but the exposed wiring from the saber being cut in half is like the best part that a lot of replicas leave out.
If anyone doesn't want theirs, I am accepting donations
Personally, I like the savis Workshop Sabers because it's a nice experience
Disney have billions and still can't buy a neopixel website
Pretty sure they won’t because they already make so much money from their current sabers
tell me genius why would they. 160 vs 1000....i will by the 160 all day and dont need to rename the product so disney wont sue the company.
Do you really think the average person will pay the price of a ps5 for a glowing stick?
@@davidkeen4972you can get a neopixel for the same price disney sells there's. Disney is overpriced.
Damm you!
I wont throw away my trusty kylo-ren lightsaber
I bought 2 flashlight for 1$ and they are better than these.
"how dare people buy a Toyota Camry over a Maserati"
Disney sabers are so overpriced and not worth it, they sell sabers at overwhelming prices and don't even give their loyal customers and fans the best quality, I think Disney should sell Neopixels because their sabers are already the price of an average Neopixel and since Disney literally owns Star Wars they should have the latest technology.
But the neopixels of similar price are generic, non replica sabers. That’s the point of the Disney ones is mainly to be replica display pieces and the same replica for neopixel can be 2-3x the price
@@braden6288 not always true at all
Disney knows kids and parents will still buy cause they dont know better so they don't even try, people need to Stop letting them play them at Disney world
@@braden6288 depends on where you buy them from, I got a Luke Skywalker ROTJ neopixel replica for 275.
are you insane? disney sells lightsabers at 160$, neopixel websites sell sabers at 500$ wtff
I got a complete custom blade for my Elemental Nature saber that honestly is so much nicer than any neo pixel saber I've ever seen, especially for the price of them. If neopixel or artsabers or any of them come out with an affordable hilt with a Rancor tooth, then sign me up
You pay for the experience at disney
" that you got with your family ". My man didnt wanna pay the 150. I can respect that
Hack Smith saber: 👁️👄👁️
You’re using the sabertrio stand I see. Nice!!
I have an anakin saber from Disney land and I love it, sure it ain’t insane like a neopixel but it carries so a lot of good memories
The size of the Disney saber is well made, we must remember that cal inherited it from Jaro tapal who was a large alien
I"m going to keep my trusty broomstick thanks.
Good choice!
It sounds better than in the game my dude, so dope
The only reason why we defend Disney sabers is cuz it’s a great experience making them while those we just buy no experience no fun
" its time for you to move out of that apartment... i dont know why they exist when mansions are a thing"
"Its time to throw your Lightsaber that you got with your Family"
*General Grievous wants to know your Location*
We keep buying the Disney ones because we don't have $500 to spend on a toy lightsaber 💀
The reason why is probably nicer qualities because it’s probably 3000 more dollars than the Disney one
You can get a neopixel for 200$....
I NEED THAT IN MY LIFE!!!!
I think it’s the experience of building it at Disney even I am looking forward to building one with my son when he’s a little bit older, so I give it about two more years
I think neopixel should be the one to make the lightsabers for the films.
I love your videos cus I love lightsabers and I love star wars❤
I have a 2012 Disney double sided custom red lightsaber. It's really easy to use and isn't heavy, it's very durable, and it doesn't cost $500+
Those are cool man.I wish I had one!!
it looks like it has a nasty flex to it
Might be the price tag. Also they forgot to include the iconic part of the messed up handle... So I'd buy the Disney one
I mean, it’s also like a memory, and you’re paying for the experience
Disney saver? The only light sabers I have I found at Walmart for three dollars and I’ve had two of them for 15 years.
Love how this guy spends thousands of dollars on kids toys, so relatable
I love dragging my tip around everywhere I go
