The topics raised in this short movie are very relevant, touching on integration and homophobia. Brother is all about identity, intimacy and of course love.
It's the 21st century.
HOW LONG will it be before men - and women - can love each other freely and not have to fear those who would rather hate than accept love - in whatever form it takes?
I am SO rooting for these guys to say yes to each other.
Yo! This is lovely and relatable. They like each other but the “what would they say” is holding the tall guy back, the little guy is scared but willing to face the consequences rather than face regret for not trying. The complexities of internal homophobia, cultural upbringing, religious teachings and self acceptance can be appreciated in this clip. Now I’m of to look where I can watch the whole movie.

Wow...... powerful film clip, and likely powerful movie. It makes me think of the nature of love coupled with the obstacle of fear -- which in turn makes me think of "Romeo and Juliet." Being afraid to love is not just a gay thing.....

@@ledya42 In fact, this video shows the first part of the short movie, which lasts about 15 minutes. So we still have to watch 8 or 9 minutes of this story.
Yep I’ve seen the entire short and I still think it ends too abruptly. I wish the reunion was given time to play out. And maybe even an epilogue on how they develop romantically.. I just wish we got to see these things play out more fully because I become quite invested in the characters and their journeys.. 🥰

I know Muslim and Arabic countries always censor western movies by cutting out lots of scenes, or simply forbidding the whole film.
So I wouldn't surprise if Brokeback Mountain were reduced into a "short film" with happy ending.
