Yeah, I remember back in the early 90s when the local Galleria had just been built, and some stores would just have free demos of SNES and Sega consoles for the kids to play. Remember seeing the opening cinematic to this thing and thinking "damn, those are amazing graphics". These kids don't know what primitive tech we got by on.
Some trivia: At the end of the first game, the original mansion burned down, however the first game was only on the Turbographix and arcades, so anyone who only had the megadrive/genesis version wouldn't get it. In the original opening ,the mask says "Go to the hidden house" which is out in the middle of a lake and takes about half the game to get to. The start of the game actually starts with Rick going to the burned remains of the original mansion to re-connect with the mask.
I bought the last Splatterhouse released in 2010. It included the first 3 like Tekken 5 did on ps2 which also included the first 3. In the end, I played more retro versions than modern.
The enemies bleeding green or yellow looks like censorship instead of a stylistic choice, but then you get to the end of level 3, and... I just don't know.
I remember this game! Graphics were amazing in the Genesis time! So much detail developed. Great gameplay!

Japanese developers really mastered the Mega Drive soundchip. This OST is amazing.
An original classic horror type, arcade game, a true gem on the Genesis.
Brilliant game. Difficult, but can be done, I remember being able to beat it on "game master" mode back in the day.

Hey, people who grew up in the 90s, remember the Gross Is Cool phase of aesthetics?
Itll come back again, these things go through cycles
I had a toy that oozed fake pus back in the day. Shit was wild then.

Or other game on mega drive.
That is the bad game of the series.
Already out, along with the Remake of Splatterhouse. They will make a good series with the OG game, but this is the best of the bunch.

@@MegaMan87 Okay nice! Congrats! No problem
No, the two franchises are entirely separate, although the Splatterhouse franchise does borrow heavily from generic horror tropes.
Музыка в первой и второй части очень крутая
