LOVE my TP9SA first version. I followed the original TP9 for years and watched as they got better, year after year. The concern over the decocker is really a non issue when it comes to accidently hitting the button and disabling the handgun. You really have to make the effort to make this function happen, so I really can't see it accidently being done. IMHo The quality is fantastic, the trigger is one of the best out there, and has been compared to handguns three times the price. All in all a great handgun at a great price. I have had many others and still have a bunch so I can honestly compare and evaluate. To each their own.
Everyone brings up the de-cocker unnecessarily. There is no way that you will accidentally activate the de-cocker function. It takes purposeful effort. The point of activation is so deep that rubbing in a holster or slight pressure will not activate it. I live with the OG version. Have done so for five years now. Never ever had any issue with it. To each his own, but don't make that a deal breaker on this outstanding firearm.
If you're uncomfortable with pulling the trigger to disassemble a gun...you probably shouldn't own a gun. It's not hard to check the chamber and verify that your pistol is safe to dry-fire/disassemble. You should be dry-firing for practice anyways, unless you can afford to shoot a lot!
An excellent review presentation. The Canik TP9 models have established a solid reputation for being reliable, accurate, with amazing trigger pulls and ergonomics. ALL that at a fair price. Most other manufactured striker-fired polymer frame handguns are over priced!
got one and love it.great value for the money.i like the safety, it takes a supreme effort to activate it, really cant see anyone accidentally engaging it.i would take it over a G17 any day of the week!
I just got factory new flat dark earth version on Gunbroker for $409 including shipping. They're still around. I couldn't push the buy now button fast enough, lol.
Inadvertently hitting the decocker is bogus I have 2 mod 1s and 1 mod 2 and I love them never had an issue with the decocker...people just hate the fact that glock is getting a real good run for its money by a cheaper and safer gun
I don’t know why polymer striker guns can’t get a good trigger going. Ruger Mark series of .22 pistols are striker fired and the trigger on them are 1.5 lb.
Love how triggered people get by the decocker...if you have 9 hulk strength fingers in each hand or a fully erect wanker on your hip, then maybe you should worry about it. It’s a non-issue. One hell of a handgun.
Why would anyone be uncomfortable with pulling the trigger to take it apart? Unless you have taking it apart with a live round it in. Which is incredibly stupid.
The decocker can't be accidentally activated and unlike lever style decockers, it's not in the way and there's nothing to hang up. I never thought I would use mine but I do. When I go to the gym I decock the gun before I throw it in my gym bag and a simple press check will recock the gun. And I'm no amateur. NRA law enforcement handgun instructor, former police officer, current firearms instructor and I work for a private security company sometimes in uniform. This is my daily use weapon. The trigger system alone is better than glocks out of the box. I've shot glocks with after market triggers and this still blows them away.
It was a brief overall presentation, to get your attention, not a detailed description and review of the pistol, which you can extend by doing more in-depth research of your own.

I trust it and occasionally carry it. The de-cocker accidentally being pressed is a total non-issue.
TP9SA MOD 2 , Mine $341.23 out the door 8/25/2023 , Montana👍
Excellent value,phenomenal trigger(4.5lb),reliable,and accurate !

I have several Caniks and I love all of them. In fact I've gotten rid of my Glock and Sig and exclusively buy Caniks now.
Picked on of these up recently. Great gun, feels good, feels like it was built well.

Just bought it... real good feel
REALLY good guns for the $$$$
Bought one online just in time before they sold out. Taking it to the range on Saturday, along with my P-07 and G19 so I can do a comparison.

What are some reliable websites?
Best gun value on the planet, and some damn fine pistols.
Have the Gen 1 and the optic version. Great triggers. Excellent shooters. Pronounced "Janik"
Inadvertently hitting the decocker is bogus I have 2 mod 1s and 1 mod 2 and I love them never had an issue with the decocker...people just hate the fact that glock is getting a real good run for its money by a cheaper and safer gun
You're not going to accidentally activate the decocker
I don’t have one, but it looks like a great gun, I might buy one
i like it better than my glock 17
I don’t know why polymer striker guns can’t get a good trigger going. Ruger Mark series of .22 pistols are striker fired and the trigger on them are 1.5 lb.
Light trigger for a target pistol.
Good, but heavier trigger for self defense.
Any recommendations for optic mounts or anything?
Good gun had the original.
Top notch firearm.
Does it shoot .40s&w
I have enogh 9mm why do i need another? My walther ppq and pdp are awesome

The chances of your inadvertently engaging the Single-Sided DeCocker is Remote
Dont really understand why you would get a sa. Canik offers so many better models. V2, DA, SF, Elite.
J D 18 rounds and cheaper 😳 full size
@@renatoslife5373 the Canik DA (formerly V2) and the SF models both have 18 rounds capacity. They are a notch above the SA Mod 2 for a similar price.
DA is turn off for some.
I enjoy mine. The mag loader, well, is not the greatest. I couldn't even figure it out. I use the one I got from amazon.
Turks are manufacturing great pistons, and they are in this business for less than 50 years.
I cannot imagine how their second century will be.
Süper 👍 silah

You lost me at decocker

The decocker is poorly misunderstood mainly due to perceived misconceptions without even trying of owning a Canik TP9 SA.
You cant have tell the difference? Trigger pull it? What kind of review is this? .... it's not..
It was a brief overall presentation, to get your attention, not a detailed description and review of the pistol, which you can extend by doing more in-depth research of your own.
Not to mention. You flaged your hand on the recock..
Safety safety safety.
I got this same exact Canik but I can’t find videos on how to install a red dot on it anybody know if it’s even possible??
