traffic circle, cute :)...we call it a roundabout and you took a left into the industrial estate,lol...all part of the adventure! how did your holiday go?
If you plan on driving in Ireland flying into Shannon is your better bet. Less traffic and easier. By the time to you get to Dublin you will be a pro. Dublin can be a nightmare for the first time driver in Ireland. Or if going to Dublin first take public air coaches into town and walk or use the public transportation around Dublin and rent a car to tour the rest of the country later.
That's where my mothers side of the family is from. My fathers side of the family is from Cork. I go to Cork & Shannon every year to visit with my family :) I love it there.
The roundabouts are everywhere and learning to navigate them takes a few and understanding that you are going clockwise around them and you yield to traffic entering from the right.
Looks like I have to learn at the more complicated (so I hear) Dublin airport. I will have to drive from there to the Aviva Stadium area for my first time driving a right-drive vehicle on left lane traffic flow.
Why the down votes this was a fun vid. I'm from Ireland and turned onto the wrong side of a roundabout "or driven circle" once so don't worry about it. I had to drive up onto the island cus there was traffic. lol
Well that would have led to some exciting swerving manoevers on the border roads between the Republic and the North. We may not drive on the right side of the road, but we do drive on the correct side of the road.
Try it on a motorcycle like I did LOL! I almost got killed three times. In a car at least you're reminded to stay on the opposite side of the road because you're driving on the right side instead of the left. On a motorcycle, nothing is different so it's a lot easier to forget. That only happened the first year I drove out there when I was about 18 or so. I've gone every year since & haven't had a problem. I drive from Shannon to Cork & vice versa every year.
why do you say correct? I think most Drivers in the USA, Germany, France, Italy etc would thank God the people years ago made the decision not to copy horse carriage driving rules from centuries past. Since most of the world drive right, leave it to the British to stick to old impractical ways.

Oopsy. You went down the wrong side of the road there at the very end :)
Where are all my SHANNON people at?
It may not be the right side of the road, but it is the correct side of the road ;-)
you just turned into shannon industrial estate! bet that was a long trip to Galway :P
They didnt even manage to leave the airport, think they are still circling the roundabout at the bank of Ireland in the estate
I think you were supposed to go straight through that last roundabout.
I'm from India. This feels like home. lol :P

well the Irish should have adopted right side driving 90 years ago when it got its freedom from the Brits.
