We have some village's here where there is a custom practiced among kerela muslims where the paternal home is given to the daughters and ultimately owned by them . They love and care so much that even get more than half share in the business and business properties of their fathers . Name of the village are chervathur padna , nillesharam etc. Do visit kerela we have rich culture and heritage .
I'm proud to be father's daughter. He was a middle class man with a clerical job in a bank with 2 daughters & a son. He could have easily chosen my brother's career over mine & my sister's & easily got us married. But he never saved for our marriages, rather spent on our education. Today my elder sister is an MBA, I'm a doctor ( MD, General Medicine) & my brother is an engineer. I couldn't crack my MBBS in a single attempt. People suggested him not to waste time on me. He trusted me more than myself. I could never thank him. He was a fighter all his life. He lost the battle to his cancer, but I know he is a fighter & a winner. I'll always remain proud of you, Bauji. He could not see me as an MD, could not enjoy our success, he just sacrifices all his life so that we could have a better life. I love you. I miss you.
