Here for it... two of my faves... great to see Jess emerge again!!!! I wonder if he has been making sourdough bread and is going to break out some wild ruminations.
The soil, Leviathan, sea, nations all the same theme. They are all matrixes, places where things are conceived and develop. Love it! Great conversation.
Hey Shari! Right now I teach one documentary course in college, but nothing in the fiction world just yet. I feel like I’m getting close to being able to do another book (this time about story structure); the material for that will probably land somewhere: I’m not sure whether that will be another college course or something in the online space. I’ll just let it naturally develop and see what happens!
@@justinsmorningcoffee if you decide to do something online in the direction of writing, please let me know. I would love to be able to 1. Do a course on writing short stories. 2. Pick your amazing brain! 3. Support you in the whole endeavour.
1:06:50 in the end when we feast on Leviathan thats all about how we will learn to see that God's Hand/Goodness/Logos is behind even the seeming chaos (Leviathan).....
So I need to push back- while the Bible is engaging with the sea-monster stories of paganism it does so to push back strongly.against the pagan depiction that Justin instead fully adopts. The difference being that God creates the leviathan/tanin intentionally, they are the first thing blessed with in Creation, Leviathan is not God's enemy but His playful pet, God sends the large fish to swallow Jonah, etc.... Leviathan is NOT the enemy or evil in Tanakh (though in Revelation the seven headed version is directly drawn from the pagan version in which the seven headed Leviathan is evil...) You aren't separated from the Logos in Sheol... There is no place you can be separated from the Logos, that's the whole point of Jonah's prayer
How did I miss this until now?! Watching. ❤

I have emerged!
Thinking the same thing Lance!

Yeah, I really love how Justin pulled all that together.
