Only 15 mins in and this topic is beautiful. I love the way Luke is speaking about the unconscious and prose collapsing into meaninglessness. It reminds me of Novalis's Hymns to the Night.
"Only fools fail to recognize you, knowing no sleep but the shadow which you, taking pity, cast over us in the twilight before true night. They do not taste you in the golden flood of grapes, in the magic oil of the almond tree and the brown juice of the poppy. They do not know that it is you who hovers over a tender maiden’s bosom, making a heaven of her lap − never suspect that it is you who comes to them out of old stories, opening the doors to heaven and carrying the key to the dwellings of the blessed, a silent messenger of infinite mysteries."
36:00 “Who you are cannot be separated from who you love.” + “Love your enemies.” = “I could wish myself accursed from Christ.” Christ and antichrist are two sides to the same coin, they are one.
If one wants comfort that God will be with them, even in hell, ESPECIALLY in the love that takes the place of the damnation of his/His enemies, read psalm 139. His spirit is with you. Where could you find a closeness to God’s heart other than in that measure of love? “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”, but God was nearest to Him in that darkness.
32:30 “Does God change?” Are they trying to trick these kids? Do they want an honest answer? Does love change? It’s unchanging and forever changing, otherwise how can it forgive?
The ostrich is only confusing to your “old eyes”. If you prioritize morality over Life itself. In other words if you get lost in the particulars. You must remain in Unknowning.
being is always mediated. but is is always after being mediated, and in this we get our meaning. but after this meaning is mapped and made conscious the unconscious speaks in stuttering, yelling, dreams and silence sets out to free itself of the system to try and get beyond what death doesn't have the power to steal that of love/ nonduel/absolute.
Beautiful conversation. But would Pageau say he doesn't actually disagree with you guys on anything, and say that in a way thats kind of accusatory (because he is French Canadian)?
Wonderful conversation! Look forward to the next one.❤
Woo!
29:30!
“Mercy is the non-dual aspect of justice.” ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Non dualism manifests itself in dualism. Yes! Love that! The mystery of the Incarnation.
great stuff, fellas. much appreciated 🤙
Luke brought me here!
Glad to have you!
This topic was made for Luke, and Luke was made for this topic. A master of non-dualism.

That Pageau in the woods cut was so hilarious lol
We desire fairness. I think we know that there is no way we can mete out Justice ( in the true sense of the word).

Love that. Novalis?

Unknowing in your knowing is iconic thinking.

Does it count as loving your enemies if you say “I wish them well” while they’re in purgatory?
This life is purgatory. The Medieval cosmology is wrong.
I loved this, can't wait to meet you both next week. Well, ok, I can wait. I have to. But I will meet you next week ;)
Excited too, Slack.
See you soon!

Probably. I just hope he pays us some attention. We are very important. 😂
Make room for Jesus and he's gonna help you grow
Non-dualism isn't positivism denying all negativism or vice versa. It transcends that duality entirely. It is silence, as per Phlebas and Job.
Agreed, it’s not a denial. But I don’t think it’s equivalent to silence. Sometimes, perhaps. But (not) always.

Please explain the "existential" crisis or question you see in Job. What in the cosmology of the text do you see as non-dualism.
