I was thinking of that Dorothy - There are styles that I certainly don’t like much either, haha. I don’t particularly enjoy doing Gothic, but I have a very good friend who loves the Gothic style and she has taught me some interesting things about the style as a way to express certain artistic ideas. Thank you so much for this and I will certainly be following this series of videos. I have been junk journaling for 3 maybe 4 years now, and I'm still struggling finding my own style. I know what I like and I have some half decent supplies, but I get stuck. Sometimes I overthink because I'm afraid to make mistakes. Other times I just get overwhelmed because I want to add every conceivable idea out there in one place. Over the years I've narrowed down the UA-cam videos that I watch to 2 creators, and you are one of them. I still play some other ones, but it's mostly in the background while I'm crafting. On the other hand, when I play your videos, I sit down and pay attention. 😂 Continue the wonderful work that you do and looking forward to the next video 🤩

Yes, I hope so Carol. For all of its artistic freedom and complete accessibility, junk journaling can seem really confusing, and maybe even a little intimidating, getting started. Thanks so much for being such a steady encourager. It may be a lot of repeat for you, haha.
This sounds very interesting ❤. I watch a lot of videos and enjoy seeing the different styles. There are some I am not interested in trying. But still think it's amazing what someone can do with just basically paper.
I think some of the subjects you explore in your videos are very interesting and very important if someone is interested in growing their talent as opposed to being merely someone who copies what they see others do on UA-cam. Unfortunately, when you see one UA-cam channel maker post a video, soon you see many others posting the same subject on their channels. After a period of time, for me, it seems content providers are only interested in posting videos that are guaranteed to attract viewers. They seem to no longer care about stretching the boundaries of talent for themselves or for their viewers. I studied photography before I started doing paper crafting. I am seventy-five and cannot get out to do field photography as I once did. But, while active in photography I watched many videos that explained composition, style and art movements. Almost all these videos mentioned how the art of photography relies on an understanding of the art found in museums. Here one finds the best examples of composition and style as well as the harmony of color and texture. These lessons that I used in my photography I use in my paper crafting as well. I am not a natural when it comes to graphic design. I struggle with it. But, having something of a foundation of proven methods used in all the arts, it has improved how what I create looks. It seems you are wanting to teach skills that most other UA-cam content providers never mention. While they need to push content in order to maintain profitability for their channel, you seem to me to care for quality over quantity. I salute you for this. I've been paper crafting since 2019 and I have to say, it's hard to find interesting and helpful content even from the most popular of junk journal content providers. To me, it seems these providers have moved their subscribers to the background and brought productivity to the foreground. I find it sad and disappointing. By the way, if you are interested in learning more about personal style, go to B&H Photo on UA-cam and type in personal style. You'll be surprised at the quality of these lectures. Well, worth your time.
