😀👉Yes Kevin is from Kentucky but he was attending YALE University for Pre-Med (he was going to be a doctor *heart surgeon* ... His whole family is in the medical business - his father and younger brother are doctors his mother a therapist his sister a pharmacist)
He was on his finals when Scott and Ben Bram trued to get a hold of him after watching the video of him beatboxing while playing the cello *cello-boxing*. Kevin did graduate Pre-Med while Scott and Ben pitched in to fly him to L.A for the audition. You can imagine Kevin's parents where NOT pleased with that decision. Kevin is now a FAMOUS beatboxer with the GREATEST A capella group is a millionaire, got married has a new baby and his parents are VERY HAPPY for him!!!
I personally didn’t agree with the judges but, then, I’m not a fan of Kesha’s music. PTX made me actually like one of her songs.
Kevin is from Louisville, but he was in CT attending Yale when Scott reached out to him. Yes. THAT Yale.
So young! Mitch missed his high school graduation for the auditions

👉This is not a favorite They were still trying to find their sound SO there are going to be a lot of hits and misses in the beginning of this journey but hang in there! THEY WILL GET AMAZING!!
Also take into account that even though The Trio - Scott, Kirstie and Mitch are childhood friends and had sung together in high school, and Avi and Kevin as the new additions they have only been PENTATONIX for a few months, And even though they sound good you will see the growth as a group 👏
If I remember right, this was my least favorite song/performance in my opinion. It was still, their second performance! Oh, Kesha does not go well with just voices. Sara was right, nothing soft about Kesha. nice reaction, mostly. It gets better. (getting my camera ready, you got my ticket?) 😁😁😎
8 years later they did revisit Kesha with better results, Praying is gorgeous.
