For anyone having compatibility issues with ios 14 this is the best method to iron out bugs as well. When I had a android and messed around with roms it was always advisable to wipe before installing new firmware.

Main Point: I didn't have to go through the entire DFR process to restore dysfunctional wallet access XR wasn't able to access "wallet" either via app icon or power button double-tap. You may find this sequence helpful: 1) pressed volume up button 2) volume down button 3) held power button for 20 seconds 4) phone went black 5) Apple icon appeared 6) carrier service message popped up asking to accept service carrier 7) entered 6-digit pin 8) home screen appeared 9) was able to access the wallet via both power button double-tap and through app icon. You may already know why, but I thought it may be useful to some. Thanks again.

Good job guy! However you don’t have to hold the vol down and power after the screen turns off. Just press and release vol up> press and release vol down> then hold just the power button till you see the iTunes logo on the screen. If you have trouble getting the iPhone into Recovery mode, you can also put it into this mode by plugging it into a wall outlet.

Hold down that bottom volume. Once iTunes shows that it is in restore mode you can release. iPhone screen will be black. Saved me a trip to the Apple store. I am loving my iPhone 11 Pro Max after watching this video to resolve the starting problem.
Evan Galvan As of now this problem is still unfixable, and I reccommend you to go to the Apple store. They gave me a brand new one since my phone was under warranty, but they themselves couldn’t fix this problem at the store
So I have my iPhoneX for 2 years now and suddenly everything stop working so I did the reset(up,down and side) then work on my windows downloads and did the step by step. Took me to the firmware, downloaded, verify, extracting, then firmware downloaded. Click start to fix but took me to trial version and buy now

Would love to try this, but the iPhone I’m trying to DFU due to charging issues… won’t charge ;). I can’t get enough juice into it to stay on longer than a minute or so. It only (barely) charges at all via wireless and only stays connected via cable for about 4 seconds. It’s driving me bonkers.

This is not working for me. I have a black screen. It was charged to 70% and shut itself off. And have a black screen. Now won’t power on. I tried this about 5 times and my itunes does not recognize my iphone at all. The lightening cord works with my mom’s iphone so it is not the cord. And itunes recognizes her phone. Any suggestions?

Hi. I Bought an iPhone XS Max, which seems perfectly normal. I can factory reset the device, but on iTunes i can't restore it. It said first to turn off find my iPhone, which i did, and then when i try to restore it shows the message : "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone. The requested resource was not found". Can it be Jailbroken? Should i enter DFU mode or try other steps? It seems the iPhone can't connect to the servers for some reason. Thank you!
My iPhone XS Max is dead and it won’t charge. It says that it is charging (like where it shows the battery when it is dead) but it has not turned on. I have tried three different chargers and blocks. My iPhone 7 (what I’m typing with right now) was having the same problem last night but I had used the charger I am trying to charge my Xs Max with and it worked for my 7. I tried the DFU reset but my phone will not connect to iTunes. I tried holding the two buttons and it will not show up. Sometimes there’s a flash at the bottom of the screen when I plug it in.
I’ve actually done everything and it’s not working. My iPhone 11 is still restarting. I don’t want to press restore because I have everything on there. Apple should really fix this.

Worked with my iPhone 11 Pro. For some reason, it was in this Swipe to Upgrade mode. This happened to me on launch day.
