I love this stuff and when applied properly to metal on exterior parts, it leaves a tough waterproof coating and really dresses things up. Well done Bud! 👍🏻
UPDATE #1: I just returned from a 1260 mile excursion, camping trip with lots of unpaved roads, no 4 wheeling, and this held up incredible! A few small heavy wear areas, if you look real close, but that is to be expected. This is such an easy mod I can expect to do a repaint/touch up every other year during off season.
Rhino liner, Raptor liner, Truck bed paint? I should of just called this Paint, but I've used the Rust-Oleum before (LinK above under Comments) and it holds and wears great. I have my sprayed my spare tire cover and the hitch cover with this Paint. But I also used Rust-Oleum on my Mailbox at the street. The Mailbox is in direct sunlight @ 7,000 ft with no fading, and gets beat up with road salt by the snow plows and still looks like new after 2 years.
Nothing special Mike, just Simple Green cleaner and roughed up the panels with some light sandpaper. My seat backs stay down 24/7/365 so I recoat them depending on wear, ever 3-4 years?
I haven't done my side panels and now one has a good crack in it. I don't even know when or how I Fjuked that up. They are not easy to remove and I'm not spraying shit inside my FJ. It would look good once finished, though. If your into a bigger Project, pull it all out and spray the Rhino Liner on everything as its much thicker and should last much longer.
Looks great! Love your mods too!Quick question, do you have a link to this rhino liner you used? Everything I'm seeing on home Depot is rustoleum and on Amazon it's Rust-Oleum or Raptor bedliner when I search rhinoliner. Thanks again for the video!
Yea I used the Rustoleum. I Think Rhinoliner is like Kleenex to facial tissue? I should a called it paint 🙄 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003CT49B2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
*Meow!* Mine are scratched too! I didn't remove them for paint but I've found using the same stuff (Back to Black) that I use on the outside plastic and roof rack to work best. ArmorAll, Furniture polish, spray pam all help to temp cover it up. amzn.to/3ppDfv5
I left a comment on here that I found on the internet, about truck liners giving off toxic fumes for months after being applied, it seems it was deleted? Is that because it was factual or?
@@UncleFjester so I remade my comment yesterday, and I see it is again deleted. Oh well, bottom line is that apparently Truck Bed Liner coatings that contain certain products are toxic for a very long time. Pity, because I like your idea and bought the best product I could to copy your idea, seems I may have wasted my time, especially as the manufacturer of the product I purchased seemingly will not respond to my request for confirmation as to whether or not the story I read has any substance! I can’t help wonder why UA-cam would delete comments.........

*Update #2: Two years have passed, and I'm doing a recoat, because I like perfection and have the time!*

Thanks Rich, It wore rather well over the summer, next fall I'll give it another coat.
10,000% Better! Perfect for dogs so they don't slide around!!! Know what I'm doing this weekend!
I'm sure you already have these but if not, you may want to replace some of these if they break.

Looks great man. Bob
Been needing this
"Uncle" what kind of prep did you do to the panels? I assume the same can be done with the side panels as well? Let me know. Thanks.

@@UncleFjester "Uncle", would you recommend the same treatment for the side panels as well? Mine has some indentations and scratches going on as well.

UA-cam deletes a lot of 💩. I only Block RUDE people from my channel, which then deletes all of their 💩 Comments. Try Again?

Never heard of this, but I'll check it out
Uncle Fjester It’s just like back to black but it lasts really long time
@@amjdismail9238 I wanted something more durable and less slippery for the seat backs, since they are always down. Like a Truck Bed...LOL
