    Beautiful samplers! I heard you speak about a few noting that they were FABULOUS, MAGNIFICENT, or STUNNING! I would definitely keep and do those!! : )

    So many wonderful samplers, its hard to pick one to start! There were a few that you said you would definitely be stitching so write the names down, shuffle, and pick one to start. I put the samplers that are a must stitch for me in a basket and will start stitching them one by one. It was time to prioritize my stash 😊

    Good luck with your "Sampler Addiction"! I'm trying to stop buying ANY new charts for a while. (yeah right 😂🤣) My stash is overflowing and I know realistically, I'll never get around to stitching half of them! I'm am happy that I only have 6 WIPS...trying to finish those first. I enjoyed your last flosstube. It was informative and eye opening. Have fun on your trip...I'm so envious!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!

    Me too! I want to keep designers in business, but let’s be real. Let’s get more stitchers in love with stitching and similar instead of having all the things. Happy Easter!

    Fun to see all your samplers although I know I would never get even a fourth of them done.

    I don’t know hoe many floss tubers I have watched say they are sorry that they have pruned their stash. Most end up buying that piece again. You need to think long and hard before destashing. I do give away patterns that I have stitched. Your samplers are beautiful when they are finished and we need beauty in our lives.

    I apologize for the delay in responding, but I just saw this notification today. I don’t know why or when I get these. Anyway, I’m afraid I can’t help you break your habit! I love all things samplers & yours as well! Your political stitching sections were very well thought through. I’ve never thought about stitching that way. Very interesting! I always love seeing your stitching & finishes! You’re very fast! Take care!

    I don’t have any ideas on how to control your sampler addiction as I have a lot of trouble letting go of any of my charts. I thought the holly stitch you finished looked great with the gold frame. And the bookmark your friend made for you is so cute.

    I loved your video..will watch again as I saw some that I may need to get and make a list of the ones you are keeping to see if you should keep or get rid of.
    I have some samplers but have never started so need to prioritize them to start.

    That random question out of the blue, "What did my last video have to do with abortion," made me startle and laugh out loud. Wow, still giggling, and I don't know. But congratulations on winnowing some of your samplers off to new homes where they will be worked and treasured. It's a win all around. You have some magnificent pieces. I didn't realize some were so large, so it was nice to see them in real space.

      Yeah for some reason, I was getting abortion comments ... which I did delete.
      I dont delete most negative comments unless they are really off topic..
      Im going to destash more on either my own page or a destashing page like samplers through time, run by the lovely Kathy Born.

    Hi Nat! You have a wonderful selection of samplers to choose from..I readily understand … would suggest you complete the sampler for your DIL and family as well as the Long Island Sampler since those two seem to be closest to your heart… thereafter, revisit your options and see what one you are attracted to based on a motif, floss, fabric at that time. I oftentimes work on items that I already have a place for in my home… see you next time ❣️

    We are nearing the end of our 6 months traveling adventure. I was going to make a trip to the attic but decided I didn’t want to travel the 240 mile round trip to go there from our camp site in Az. Now I wish I did. Was there 4 years ago. I already went to stitchers paradise in Los Vegas 3 times when in Nevada in January for a month. . Hubby says we are all an addicted when he sees me watching flosstube videos.

    I wouldn’t get rid of any but what I did with mine is I put all of my kitted up ones in my closet and anything not kitted is in a different place. I’m hoping to only work with what’s ready to go first. I put all of my floss and fabric in a totally different place. Wish me luck😂

    Stitching isn’t all
    about samplers. Many people like ‘odd’ things. I did stitch a subversive pillow and it’s in my home. when you come to my home, respect it. Don’t like it, there’s the door. The beauty of this craft is that there’s something for everyone.

      I agree I am not big on sampler’s never have been. I think they all look the same or very familiar and look too much alike. Too many of them displayed just isn’t always a good look to me. Though I have seen a few walls that look pretty good actually. I am more fond of stitching objects or scenery. Someday I might try a sampler, but it really has to reach out and grab me in order to stitch it.

    Enjoyed your video as always. How many beautiful samplers you have! I think you shouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of the samplers you haven't selected yet. I suggest you go through them again next time, maybe you'll have some new samplers by then - because after all, what's wrong with buying new ones that you like? I don't see anything wrong with that. You are not harming anyone with this - that is my opinion.❤

    try working 70 hours a week for free. These large groups take a TON of work and energy. it’s F R E E
    for members to buy and sell. Then there’s the giveaways…….and a little payment to admin and mods. Follow the groups rules or show yourself out.

    • @nsobgyn
      @nsobgyn  8 місяців тому

      I spend about 20 hours or more of my time on our free group. The giveaways arent gifts from designers; I purchase them myself. There is 0$ payments to any admins or moderators in our group. 100% volunteer time. So I get it. Our group has only a few simple rules the foremost is being pleasant and nice. Shops can post links on Thursdays. I dont think Ive ever kicked someone out of our group btw other than a sole spammer who managed to get in. I have talked to people like they are humans, not peons like some other admins do, albeit most are not like this.
      This particular video is about samplers and not about tyrants of cross stitch and other issues. I think you posted on the wrong video but thanks for your input. Im not sure which group you moderate btw.

  • @sandrawood7852

    I’m kinda new to this floss tube COMMUNITY and to cross stitching. But why can’t you sell a PDF pattern I mean I kind of think I know why but if you own something anything it’s yours, so why can’t you sell anything that you own? I wonder if people kit them up and sell? What’s wrong with that? I mean after all it’s only a PDF they’re not even incurring any postage to send anything to you. You download it on your own computer you’re basically paying for the talent of someone who created the PDF pattern but they’re not sending you anything whatsoever. It’s intangible property.

    • @rachelcarey9369
      @rachelcarey9369 8 місяців тому +1

      Because people can print off several copies….pdf is a ‘single use’ item. Reselling is a violation of copyright.

    • @sandrawood7852
      @sandrawood7852 8 місяців тому

      @@rachelcarey9369 I see. That does make sense. Seems they would not want to sell via pdf for that reason alone. But it is an easy way for the artist to earn once you’ve created the pattern. Just like a painting - there’s really only one and any unauthorized reproduction is a violation.

    • @nsobgyn
      @nsobgyn  8 місяців тому +1

      @sandrawood7852 people want cheaper charts. Hence, pdfs have 0 printing and mailing costs. Also, a lot of stitchers like to stitch off a computer pad. Sharing a pdf chart is akin to photocopying and it is a copyright violation. For a few dollars, its easy enough to just purchase the chart.

    • @sandrawood7852
      @sandrawood7852 8 місяців тому

      @@nsobgyn thank you for that explanation to both you and Rachel. I should have known that. I was really being dumb and thinking if I owned an unopened Mill hill, project or other chart, and I wanted to sell it because I wasn’t going to complete it then what the harm but I see it’s not the same concept whatsoever. No I completely understand. They are definitely cheap enough to just buy one yourselfand I would never sell a PDF or share them because of the copyright infringement.

    I assume you received two abortion comments in your last video because you brought the subject up around 18 minutes in to the video. Had you not brought up the subject first, I doubt anyone would have made a comment about it. Just my opinion.
