I found that the easiest way for me to get a hungup tree free once one end is on the ground is a 3 ton come-a-long and a chain. When I first started cutting trees on my property I got more trees hungup than I like to admit lol. Thank you again for a good video and sharing your knowledge with everyone.
Thanks Buckin, I been cutting my own firewood for 50 years now, (not a pro by ANY means), and I still learn good stuff from you. Love your videos, don't often comment but love the positive vibes, tips and kindness shown. Be safe, be well and God bless.
I truly appreciate your instruction. Just had an 80-90 foot Tennesee white oak fall and hung up in my back yard. I trimmed from top down. Now down to mid trunk, but not without getting my saw hung up 3 times. Should have watched your video first. You are truly a blessing to to this novice. Your over the screen comments are reassuring and much appreciated. You’re a good spirit and an accomplished drummer. Keep being you! The world needs more people like you.
Been watching your clips since the fall. Younger guy , 27 . Doin amateur amounts of firewood in Rrrrkansaw . This video was gold. Thanks for all the inspiration man, seriously.
Vintage saws in the bush helping folks and drum solos.... Best UA-cam content around! Thanks Buckin.... I always get put back into the right mood if for some reason I get knocked out of plumb when I watch!
Your honesty exceeds you Buckin , you said “ I don’t know if it’ll cut because I’m not so good at the square filing yet”” I love honesty and telling all your supporters that you don’t know everything that’s so important man you don’t brag your not better than anyone I love it Buckin life is a gift and every day we are still learning every day we should listen and learn 💪💪💪 great vids thanks 🙏
Don't try that at home friends. That's some serious danger tree falling. Good job Buckin! I love how when it gets serious you grab your old Mcculloch. 💪
Yes don't try this at home. Billy is a seasoned pro with decades of practice. You weekend warriors can get yourselves royally messed up or killed trying this. I out to know, I have 40 years in the tree business and this might look easy but it's not.
“So we called the right man then did we”. Extremely refreshing to hear the appreciation from them for what you do lookin after them in this respect. Inspires me to go do good for someone today. Thank you for the positive!!
Thank you for being you Buckin! I rarely have a bad day, but when I did I watched this. Your attitude made me feel so much better. And the sounds of power saws and falling wood help too. Thank you my friend!
Been there, done that! Years ago I hung up 2 small Larch trees while making firewood, and I had no idea how to get them down. I drove down to an old loggers place and got some advice, went back and took them down just like you just showed. It looks easy when you see it done but I remember being very nervous.
This winter created a few of these on my property. I watched the video and cringed on every cut. (so I have to disagree with "it looks easy") I came to the comments and expected to read a bunch of Karens saying you should do this another way, but most comments are - you did it textbook. I do agree with the "very nervous" cause just watching - I was. How do you know whats going to happen? How do you know it's not rolling towards you? Does the weight always make it fall and dig into the earth straight down?
Hey Brian, glad you're getting outside and doing what you can. Thanks Buckin" for being there when your Uncle Brian needed a helping hand. Be safe y'all...
Billy I just watched this video being new to your channel and this tree is more what the normal maintenance guy would be facing.. I’m a ground maintenance guy on a golf course in ny which is forest lined. We are constantly dealing with dead downed or leaning trees toward the course of play.. I learned a lot except we only have 18” bars..thanks for your time..
Very informative video. I have just started cutting my own firewood and I have a few hung up trees and this video is very helpful. A drummer too! Bass player's best friend!
Buckin', just wanted to leave a comment on that Mac, WOOOOOW!!!!! It cuts really fast thanks in part to your hand filing with a square file AND to The BellHopper!. Definitely worth learning to square file, it's now on my to do list for 2021! Welcome to those looking to be entertained, maybe interested in learning a new trick? You're at the right place. Almost at 250k !!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow that's crazy but you've earned it. Be safe as this too shall pass, one day at a time.
Hey Buckin, I'm a fairly new subscriber and want to say thank you. Watching your filing videos has helped me tremendously, my saws cut like crazy now. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge to help us newbies out. Love the drumming too! 🤘🪓🌳
Are they broken part way up the stem like this? And hung. This is not so common and very dangerous, even for buckin with his experience. Think it through and be careful!
BILLY YOUR THE CHAMP BUDDY FOR GOING AROUND AND BEING ABLE TO HELP OUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU DO ,MY HATS OFF TO YOU MY FRIEND ,EVERY VIDEO YOU MAKE BY THE END YOU ALWAYS PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE EITHER WITH THE POSITIVITY ,OR YOUR KINDNESS ,YOUR A GREAT PERSON BILLY THE WORLD NEEDS MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU BROTHER BE SAFE BUDDY

Hey Billy, A little of your drumming incorporated into the background after you drop a tree would be epic. Love your videos, thanks for sharing your vast knowledge with us. Blessings Brother🙏👊
Been a carpenter for 25 years. Track houses, custom houses, schools fire stations. A Forman at every step of the way in each in that order. Retired and now moved to the mountains and working with a 30 year vet learning this trade and now I feel like I’m 18 all over again. Shit is fun but scary as hell at the same time. I feel alive!
I really like your videos!! Keep it up Buckin Billy. I love chainsawing too!! Im cleaning up my dads buddies bush right now with my new Husqvarna 572 XP chainsaw. I love watching you run your saws and enjoy you playing the drums!!! Im a big big fan!!! Thanks John Gilroy.
Your saws always sound so happy!! You can tell when an engine is happy! Whether it be a v-8 or a chainsaw. They seem to work effortlessly. You don’t have to work them hard to get what you need from them. It’s in the design and tune. KEEP CUTTING FRIEND!
Been there when that kind of tree felling went wrong. Luckily survived! You made this look too easy. I hope it doesn’t encourage too many others to try the same thing. They call them widow makers for a reason.
That tree just didn't want to come down..lol Like it had a choice with Buckin on the power saw. Way to get it down and safe for your friends. Good looking out!
The beautiful color green out on location is absolutely amazing. Your ability to solve the problem is excellent, getting it done safely. Thanks for showing us the one. Schooled drummers are sometimes too technical and don't have the feel. Someone that learns from doing has got more of a feel.
Yes, he's got some seriously deep grooves and approaches it intuitively first. I’ve played with plenty of drummers and Billy is definitely someone I would fully enjoy grooving with. Sounds like he could handle many styles. Please be careful out there and preserve all your 'parts' bro!
Fantastic cutting, and great drumming too ... nice moler whip ... funky beats. Those broken snags, especially that tall, are serious, and easy to screw up if you don't know what your doing. Even if you know what your doing, branches fall, snap, you never know what is going to happen, and keeps you on your toes. You cut it just perfect! I learned a lot from this video, both cutting and drums! Thanks!
Buckin a man of so many talents ! I watch in amazement when he takes down those hanging trees I'm scared on this side of the screen. Love the drum playing videos also.

Came across your channel cuz im trying to learn some chainsaw basics... Safely, cuz I have to take a solo trip to my family's cabin and there might be a tree or two across the road. You've got a new subscriber for life. Ill be binging your videos, sir!
Just subscribed! Thank you for the tips and sharing I'm a novice to cutting trees but a quick learner. Been doing some clearing and you have opened my eyes to some better and safer ways. Bless you. God protect you and keep you safe in Jesus Holy Name Amen Pslam 91.
Found your channel wow that was sketchy! My grandpa Bill would have just cut the tree down that the long leaner was hanging up on. & they would have both fell at the same time. But maybe your way is better? Idk? That tree was so tall I was thinking it was gonna stand on end then you could fall it backwards lol thanks for teaching me that slanted cut & that first backwards cut. You rock! Brother!
Good job on the dangerous tree ,but im saving for a drum kit now instead of a chainsaw ,i want to express how i feel too ,that good funky vibe is in us all we just need a drum kit to release it. Have a good day and stay safe God bless .
Ok, so after learning all the tree cutting stuff from You, now I'm learning drumming. I don't think my wife will be happy for the new drum set after all these chainsaws!! :D :D
Damn buckin you are an absolute freakin wildman lol trees like that always made me a little nervous but not you, you charge into it like a freakin boss. Great video keep em coming buddy!!
I have removed meany widowmakers of that leaning variety, always notched and cut like I was felling an upright tree. I'm going to have to try your technique on the next one. I'm asked to clear em cause I'm either stupid or crazy, probably both and that's why I'm still here!! 🤣😎😁
Thank you for another great video. I love your energy - so much man wrap in kindness. as Wim Hof (the Iceman) would have put it. All the power all the love. Christer from Denmark - personalpointofview.
Tree man, saw man, drum man, ax man, and most importantly a Kind man.

Logging world that’s the ole widow maker. Excellent sawyer work. Professional saw work. Don’t get any better. Hats off from Idaho
I checked in for the felling mastery, but stayed for the jam. Much love to you, friend, from Virginia in the lower 48

Really appreciate the videos of how to take down problem trees. Thank you.
Thank you Billy! Ive got a few blow over trees that are stuck just like this. Now I have a good understanding of how to take them down safely.

I bought my all-clear Ludwig kit (Except the snare was chrome) in the early 70's, I am 67 years old. Great drumming and tree cutting..
Buckin" That toad stool is growing on dead wood in the tree . . weak point. . any time you see them you know its rotten there. . keep it up Billy
Those fir trees are pretty weak as is anyway. Well, all coniferous trees are
Your saws always sound so happy!! You can tell when an engine is happy! Whether it be a v-8 or a chainsaw. They seem to work effortlessly. You don’t have to work them hard to get what you need from them. It’s in the design and tune.

i know exactly what you mean , they wail because they are happy .
Buckin you’re great for taking care of your friends. You have a super big heart. God bless you

Tree felling lessons, drum lessons, what's next friend? Grillind lessons. You're living the dream brother.
Fantastic cutting, and great drumming too ... nice moler whip ... funky beats. Those broken snags, especially that tall, are serious, and easy to screw up if you don't know what your doing. Those mushrooms were a dead giveaway to what was going on inside that tree.
Very interesting video. I learned a couple things.....thanks.
Love watching your videos buckin.
You’re the man, great skills and great attitude. Keep on keeping on brother!!
Great saw vid, lovin' your work on the skins. Made me think of Bernard Purdy, Steve Gadd & Bonzo grooves! Always know where your one is.
If I just took down a widow maker successfully, I would play the drums too! Thx for the lesson today.
Hey Billy, always makes my heart thump doing hangers like that. 👍
From chainsawing big trees to playing drums! I love it! Awesome video Billy!
Buckin a man of so many talents ! I watch in amazement when he takes down those hanging trees I'm scared on this side of the screen. Love the drum playing videos also.

Hey Buckin, Happy New Year to ya! That first cut on the stump is a cool technique, the old guys up here called it ‘back-sliding’
Just subscribed! Thank you for the tips and sharing I'm a novice to cutting trees but a quick learner. Been doing some clearing and you have opened my eyes to some better and safer ways. Bless you. God protect you and keep you safe in Jesus Holy Name Amen Pslam 91.

Loving some tree work and some stick work! I play drums as well and they are a big stress relief for sure!

Nice reference to Moeller, you sound like Ted Reed giving a lesson. Nothing like a good straight piece of hickory.
Looks like a dang nice job square filing. Nice work!
I’m playing a little bit of piano or guitar to relax every now and then, always wanted to learn drums, great stuff, you’re a great musician to
The one video I need you to explain every detail and you go beast mode on it and then teach me how to have rhythm. ?🤨👍still love it

I like your Bigfoot lives sign behind your drumset Buckin!
That's a scary one! You need a good, 'scape route away from the back cut! Relieved to see it on the floor! 👍
Thank you for another great video. I love your energy - so much man wrap in kindness. as Wim Hof (the Iceman) would have put it. All the power all the love. Christer from Denmark - personalpointofview.
you are "the man"...bravo Billy
Absolutely love it, awesome drummer as well!!!!
What cool video! I just found out you're a drummer!! Good job!
