Not really only collar I don’t like collars at all because I just think that it pulls their neck I would recommend a harness for sure because it is more comfortable for 🐶 dogs

For a crate bed my dad always has used a small piece of carpet and once they can be trusted a cheap blanket from walmart or even a cheap peice of fabric from the craft store. Our puppys also always eat in their crate till they are 6+ months old and earn the privilege to be free in the kitchen which is our dog proof room where their food and water stays.
I’m going to a shelter tomorrow with my dad to look at this Labrador golden retriever mix and he is 8 months old and I’m so excited he will be my 4th dog but I haven’t been old enough with my last dogs to train them and stuff like that(I’m 12 and I got my last dog when I was 9) and I’m so excited to go through the training and other stuff with my new pup

I just found this video and it’s a great video! Straight to the point. I agree it is important that you understand the food your puppy is eating! So with all the info we have these days, Kibble isn’t an “okay” food to feed your growing puppy that is a carnivore. This is the most vital time in there life to be fed the best nutrients they need to grow unfortunately, kibble doesn’t contain nearly any of those nutrients. To anyone getting a puppy, please be responsible and do your research, READ INGREDIENTS. Kibble is not natural for a dog.
I can understand that, but you’re investing money into food that will eventually put your pet in a worse position. You’ll be spending more money on vet bills when they are sick because you didn’t take the best possible steps for there growth. If you don’t really have the best budget, find a way for your pet to have a wholesome diet. Don’t let your pet suffer just because you don’t have the “funds”. Wouldn’t it be best to not have a pet at all if you don’t have the funds to offer it a healthy lifestyle with you? So, please ask yourself is having a healthy dog more important than having a sick one - which will eventually lead to more expenses? There are affordable options. Research!

I always say that we need dogs to forget about our negativity. And also to have something to comfort us. Because there are sometimes where we just feel useless and we just want someone to hug. How long should a leash be for a new puppy? I'm doing house training so i want to know whats too long. I was thinking a 10 ft leash should be enough? i also bought a 20ft leash for outside training.
If I get a dog we will prob get a boxer or an Australian cattle dog because Aussie cattle dogs are good for our climate and my dad had boxers throughout his life and they were outside only (he is deadly allergic to any animal with fur feathers hairless or that smells

I recommend you don’t get puppy pads because it makes your puppy think it’s okay to go in the house just take them outside!

If your getting a pug I would recommend getting a harness not collar, there respiratory system isn’t the best and collars can choke them easily
You forgot a harness. They help real well with dogs that like to pull! It doesn’t choke them out like a collar would
