"Statement watch" is the right description. I own a Grand Fonds 1964 with the chocolate dial. Immensely cool.
The more I get into watches, the more I realize that these reissue/vintage styled military watches are my jam. I'm a sucker for a quirky watch with a story. This ZRC would be on my wrist if my wrist was a little bigger. I can do 49mm LTL, but not if the case is super flat like this. Still love it though!
Flat Lugs are so ridiculous IMO. I don't understand that design choice at all.
Well my wrist is 6, 3/4 inch and I owned the plain version on the bracelet. Wore just fine because the swing lug just drops straight down.
Remember that you have a smart little opening on the outside of the bezel at the 3 dot mark. That opening allows you to flush the inside of the ring with fresh water (if you have been diving in salt water. Prevents corrosion and adds years before service…;-)
But - if you really are into diving - try out the blacked out full lume version…:-)

I know how you feel. But you are mostly paying for the steel, finish, and engineering that went into the watch itself.... hey at least its a top grade sellita haha

Gives me the vibes of the Tudor PO1 which I own. I like it a lot. But the Tudor PO1 is a bit cheaper and has their in house chronometer movement. So I do agree this is too much money.
It is bloody lovely though. Its now on my list!!
The PO1 is over 1k more than the ZRC not sure the inn house movement is worth the price jump .

Having 1000m on dial and 300m at the back would really bug me and ofcourse the price is abit much maybe 1k too much
