The Krag was always the perfect headclicker weapon, Im not surprised at all that it's insanely good as a sniper variant
Biggest problem with the Krag is ammo is near impossible to find, best Ive found is like $5 USD per bullet which is insane

I actually really like the Krag, but I do wish they would've given it a Marksman scope instead.
I thought the exact same but I think that would make it the Meta
It's damage fall-off makes it not the ideal sniper, which is fair as it's fire rate is incredible. I could be wrong though
@@garethsloan5118 I mean that may be exactly why they gave it that scope, the devs have explained how they have used the nitro scope as a nerf before. This might be a similar idea.

I think the Krag in general is kind of broken currently - on it's own, it has close to unsustainable ammo economy. With the Sparks pistols, it's OP instead (same issue as with the Avto - the devs really need to take a look at that, and I think they are IIRC). But the Krag Sniper specifically is a different issue. I call it Hunt's first semi-auto sniper. It's just ridiculously fast and if someone can hit headshots consistently, theay are going to be a nightmare to fight against.

Man, i played with it for a couple of days, and damn, it feels like it takes almost no skill to kill people with it. No need to aim, just spam shots at head level and one of them always hits. It's like a long range version of avto.

headsman has been the one skin lately that has been really annoying because its hard too see. not quite as bad as cane but pretty close and I have my monitor settings to be a close to peak visibility as I can stand.

At that point just use a Mosin
For Krag is actually not worth it. Check the damage website in description and you will see why
slowing its muzzle velocity to carry out damage would be a bit eh, mostly cuz its already long ammo so itll two tap, but most importantly it only does 124 damage than 125+ so it will still be a two tap regardless if they have been downed(if the have 2 small bars upfront) or not asides from headshots. best to keep its amazing velocity and its firerate as is, fmj would be a direct nerf to its value

I don’t like the krag, maybe it’s just me or I haven’t used it enough but it seems all I get is hit markers I headshot people more consistently with the martini I also hope they add a deadeye I’d try it

If you ask me I still to this day stand by the idea but they need to add a hunt dollar bank limit... the whole idea of the game is not only supposed to be risk versus reward on a bass level and it would be nice if there's also the concept that if you go over your Banks limit, that extra money gets converted into blood bonds making it even easier to get Legendaries without having to pay money so and also krycek wouldn't have to worry about people trying to climb up a predatory marketing practices as much but also most of all, part of what supposed to balance the long and weapons is there supposed to be more expensive and more risky to bring but the people who can get the most benefit from all the most powerful guns are the ones with all the money too so not only is the entirety of basically especially the upper-tier filled with people running around with the best of the best of weapons constantly but there's also just a baseline fact vanity basically encourages the concept of the new players hitting their heads beaten in by the experienced players who basically getting 0 weaknesses with all that they can bring

All these people crying about it are not even playing at this guys level. A shot to the body and the a follow up to a limb will not kill, a downed hunter cannot be one shot. These things are what matter more than “clicking heads” which you can do with any other weapon, not to mention at max cycle rate

Personaly i still prefer Cente Sniper, super tight hipfire, more ammo, i am not forced to run sparks pistol and for the ranges i play at the medium ammo of cente is fine
i love to ammo pool the centenial with scottfield, its perfect since if you dont have fanning for the boys approaching up close, you could use the spitfire to shoot fast, or if u do have fanning you got the swift so you can reload it and prep for the next target close ranged

Seems nice, but the fast fire rate with a low ammo reserve kinda sucks
if you think about it, its the only gun you really need so using a sparks pistol for a side arm or even better 2 sparks pistol to make up for its ammo pool is great, the fact that it shoots as fast as a winfield but with long ammo basically makes it a perfect weapon to fight at all range, as for very close vs shotguns use the bayonet to make up close range fights or fire off ur two sparks pistol(youd be surprised with how acurate the sparks pistols are ive gotten a headshot from 40 meters with them and reliably killed shot gun users up close with it)

Get better at positioning and realize you can’t win every fight but can do a good job against these guns. Depends on the situation and if you have the element if surprise. With nitro- low ammo, move move move, avt- low ammo lose sight quickly and gain distance. There’s more ways to combat this

the sniper krag is a nerf we don’t need. a marksman wouldve been balanced
The biggest problem is long ammo in general needs a rework, compact and medium ammo take a nose dive once you hit their drop off range at 20m. Where as long drops off much slower after 40m. So if they would make all ammo types have the same drop off speed it wouldn't be so bad. Plus crytek is also working on some sort of solution to how ammo pooling works so you can't stack a shit ton of ammo with guns
i hope that only changes avto. if they make it impossible to stack anything else they’re out of touch

I got double bodied from the tower in blanchett while my enemy was in a bush in lockbay docks, (about 150 meters away at rough estimate) I had a centenial sniper, they had a basic mosin.
maybe long ammo shouldn't be able to do that.
also, while we're at it, maybe medium ammo should be able to penetrate thin metal sheets.

Hard disagree it will be the new meta, especially after people were saying this when the regular krag released and it died out in favor of the mosin and lebel. That two tap range is about a 31% difference, which is huge because they can headshot the exact same with them all being between 610ms-630ms. The mosin and lebel bring consistency the krag doesn't, and that damage difference also translates to a much different one tap range on downed hunters.
Yeah, the majority of the playerbase is too inconsistent with their aim to really benefit heavily from the advantages of the krag, those being its amazing headclicking ability.
Most people still do more body shot kills with large ammo weapons than they do headshot kills so for them a mosin or lebel is preferable. I was not surprised to see the Krag become a decently popular but not quite meta weapon once the novelty of it wore off.
I expect the same to happen with the krag sniper. For people on a budget the sparks sniper is the weapon of choice and for people willing to spend a lot of cash on a great sniper the mosin spitzer is still the prime choice.
Krag is fun but super overpriced/nerfed. Kind of like the New Army/Slate. Everyone is so scared of high RoF that they'll nerf it. Krag is basically 580 minimum, no pistol besides sparks or uppercut and it can't one shot chestshot. I'd rather have a mosin and anything else every time if the Krag wasn't so fun to use

What gives more ammo 2 uppercuts, 2 sparks pistols, or mini mosin?
2 sparks, since they only load 2 bullets at the start
To further elaborate: how much you actually _resupply_ from ammo crates or boxes, depends on how many bullets there are in the _reserve pool_ of a weapon.
The Lebel for example has so fucking many bullets loaded, that its reserve ammo pool is tiny. Thus, you only resupply a meager 2 bullets per crate, IF you don't back the Lebel up with long ammo on your secondary slot.
While a Bertier, with only 3 bullets loaded, gets proportionally more bullets per crate/box resupplied, since it has a much bigger reserve ammo pool.
So, taking the Sparks pistol as a secondary to the Krag not only has the advantage of only 1 bullet being loaded, compared to the 6 bullets in an Uppercut (so you have more of its ammo available to your Krag, right from the start of the match -- but also has the added benefit of resupplying a lot more ammo per crate/box towards your total long ammo pool.

wish more guns had dead eye, i love it specifically cuz it is still perfect to use during fog where as snipers and sometimes marksman can be a bit hard to see in fog with how zoomed in they are, plus i prefer to fight under 100 meters lol

for solos, the trait magpie gives a 10 second boost for them, also serpent for solos is 50 meters, and lastly necro allows solos to res theirselves after 10 seconds
