Bruh all this work translates directly into MMA & striking arts specifically. I remember spending many lessons jumping side-to-side like a monkey & then practising this in my own time along with similar plyometric movements working different angles & planes. This translated in to major improvements in enhancing my already fast reflexes for closing the distance & following through & barging into takedowns & submissions. Awesome stuff you are showcasing here Brother thank you!

I really think UA-cam would be in awe...
some of these machines are absolute gold. these days most gyms are body build focused and cardio.
These exercise drills are awesome, and so transferable to many Powersports, such as Boxing, MMA, Rugby, NFL etc.. I stumbled across this video by she coincidence, as I have been reviewing many training exercises for Olympic athletes that do shotput, hammer, javelin and discuss. These are some of the strongest most powerful people on the planet and they have some of the most comprehensive exercises that are now being reviewed by many other power sport athletes. No one can go wrong by adding some of these power sport athletes exercise drills into their own training program.
I think it’s kinda telegraphing the punches in MMA or boxing but for the other sports I agree

This training is so ahead of its time. Hes fully lengthening his muscles which results in better hypertrophy. These old machines somehow give better range than most crap in modern gyms
Please do the jay Schroder training reaction video, I am so curious about why long duration isometrics and the other weird exercises in jay's arsenal made achuleta such a freak at the combine. That nervous system training is so interesting, and to have you explain it would be awesome!

You are very good calling the languages used in Switzerland. To be precise it is mainly a southern German dialect only official there, then French and a minority speaks an ancient Italian version which is almost extinct and completely different to that spoken in Italy.
So I guess it was easy to translate the French video but more difficult to get the Suisse German translated. I am not from Switzerland but share their German dialect.

A super good historical account of exercise science. Interestingly the key concepts of what is demonstrated here can also be found on Temple & Monastery walls all over the World such as: India; Thailand & China. The 72 gongs of Shaolin (a skill attained through diligent disciplined habitual practice) incorporates every aspect of what is demonstrated here yet for a very specific end goal & the fact that dynamic trunk control is required for a specific gong or static hold before an explosive movement is only a biproduct of the journey to the end goal. Absolutely fascinating!

Probably somewhere in between “all elite athletes will experience joint wear eventually” and “as bullet proof joints as possible thanks to his s&c training”. Whatever his joint health, it would be impossible to make any causal inference.

I saw an interview of his on youtube a few years ago, where he casually bench pressed the journalist at the end, with balance and control, making it look so easy and safe. I think he is good.

We want to develop speed/power athletes an not strongman.
