- We got a bit of a break in the weather were it was only -20 so we got the X3 out for a rip! Man oh man this thing is a blast!! We got to try our S&B Particle Separator and wow I am impressed!! I just bought a 2018 rzr xp 1000 ride command last week already put 200 miles on it. I'm gonna have my rzr set up for winter that's when it's gonna be the most fun I think.

I don't know how to explain this so it will make sense, but I had the same issue with my commander. Take the axle out. Remove the small boots clamp. Shove a small oring pick under the boot. To let ait in. Pull the axle apart as far as it will go and remove the pick. Reclamp the boot in the new stretched position and put it back in. The tension from the vacuum is enough to pull it past the surclip in the diff. when the suspension is dropped out. I went through 3 axles before I learned that trick. Never had one come out after I did that. Yes the were all stock axles.

ostacruiser oho I know the feeling too well I own land that’s got a trail on it and I can’t even ride on it with my rig without someone 😭 lol I ride sleds too I just never understood the rival mentality... we’ve got 5000 bridges in Maine that the snowmobile association fight to keep them at 60” that’s why I bought a 900 but soon I’ll Be modding a HL 1000 into a 60” 🍻

I started watching and was thinking it was 2 wheel drive. Didn’t look like the front tires were throwing much if any snow unless you were turning. But then, I saw the front axles. Was 4 wheel drive engaged or were you just playing in 2 wheel drive only? Thing sounds awesome though! You hardly lifted off the throttle. Looks like such a fun ride to rip around in.

Stud those tires it'll be that much more fun. That particle separator seems to work well. But have you tried a frogskin pre filter to keep snow out?
+Darin L Yes frogskin plugs in about 42 seconds lol
ostacruiser I'm guessing if you had an open bottom air box. With frogskin horizontal mounted and tucked up inside that would do the trick. It works well on turbo sleds with over the bars powder. Not saying that particle separators not cool but it's gotta be big $.

Out in the Spiritwood area there is over a foot of snow. That thing would be stuck as hell. I have an Arctic Cat XF Cross Country 8000 and I've been stuck 4 times last week.

Have you tried that s and b in the mud yet we live in central alberta and that's all we see I'm curious if it with work or just plug off
It is built for sand/dust/snow. the little brushless fans won't work work in mud. I have never had an issue with mud getting down my snorkels far enough to get in my air fliter really

Yes xmr snorkels now. With s&b the filter was always clean...now not so much but sometimes a guy has to go deep!! Lol
ostacruiser haha I hear ya! I'm on the fence between the xmr snorkels and the PS. So as a guy who has run both. Which would you go with if you didn't run deep? We have some mud and water but nothing like you ride. I keep getting water splashed into my intake from the drivers rear tire when we hit water. Frustrating!
