So many good moments this video... this challenge feels like it fits right in the sweet spot between "not challenging enough" and "so restricted as to be boring" (not for the viewers, you're great at putting together an entertaining video no matter how many restrictions you have, but if most of the video is "we do daily stuff and can't do anything else" then that can't be that fun to record). You deserve every bit of the growth you're getting, you're just real good at both the game and making entertaining videos about the game. And I'll add my vote to a part two! If you're enjoying a challenge and you've survived, why not do more? (unless the challenge is a "how much can I do in this limited time" sort of challenge, but you haven't done any of those yet)

Pro tip: you can move planted kelp with a boat into one spot to make more room and make collecting them a bit more time efficient. Like what your boat did at 18:04

It’d be interesting to see you guys have a part 2 where you do more challenging aspects of DST with items mainly from resources that you can get in your base. It won’t be optimal, but it’ll make each part 2 unique and allow you two some varied gameplay.
Loving this style!!! Whilst playing with heavier restrictions can be interesting, having some leeway makes things less painful and more of a fun challenge rather than an initial difficult burst of difficulty followed by an endurance test.
I’d love to see these challenges get a part 2 if you both are interested in doing them. Maybe you can even give yourself some more prep time in the next challenge if it gets a part 2, since you have more time and potentially harder challenges to take on. Again thanks for the great video, and I’ll love seeing Maxwell every time. ❤
I think a part two would be cool. You could also make the challenges end when you feel like it rather than as soon as the year ends. That way even if it takes a few days into summer to finish whatever you set as a goal at the time.

You might already know this, but if you turn lag prediction off (or are hosting, probably), you can strike a Crawling Horror / Terrorbeak, then move out of the way before its attack connects, then hit it again like you would normally. Super nifty trick

It's not like you need more food at this point, but the figs from the waterlogged trees are AMAZING as Wurt. I get a lot of mileage out of making them into Figatoni in my ocean world, and I'm not even getting the hunger bonus from playing as Wurt! The sizable hunger and health stats from a food with the quick eating animation is surprisingly strong.

Hey Biddo, I would love to see a Part 2! I also wouldn't mind having a "survive at least a year" rule so we can see all the seasons but you can also take the first part of the second year to finish up any last minute projects. This way you don't spend the last season putzing around and not wanting to start anything new.
I honestly hate the sinkholes. Klei needs to add a way to patch them up prematurely. Like with how we can prevent cave-ins with the new pillars, we should have something made of like muddy turf called "Ground Fill" or something to fill in holes. This could be doubly useful for not only patching Antlion holes, but also unplugged sinkholes in case you wanted to shut off a cave entrance too close to base, or for decorative purposes.
Part 2 would be quite enjoyable, specially since you seem to be enjoying the run quite a bit. At the end of the day, if the content creator is happy making the content it'll usually end up being good by default. Not to mention the rather odd world gen making for an interesting time.

Can you do one where you have to stay on one of Dodoy’s islands in shipwrecked, and if you all die, or the Dodoys go extinct then you lose?
Landing on the island and picking the kelp stalks first is definitely wurt main behavior

I had moon quay spawn next to hermit island too once! Connecting them with docks was actually quite a decent idea for me
