Every human can hold their breath for 3 minutes if they 1, know how to properly take a deep breath. And 2, can get over the mental block. It takes practice, but not breath training and lung exercises, to be able to hold for 3 minutes.
oh and yes holding breath underwater is a lot better for doing a true length test, also exhaling slowly towards the halfway can help because you'll get a co2 buildup

I love that Adam paraphrased a bit I've done for years. "A person, they are almost always great and even a small group are usually okay, but people.....people are f-ing awful."
feels almost like something a Pratchett character or his narration would say, something like "A person on their own is generally pleasant and good natured. But once you get into people it starts to become a problem. At a small group you can't always tell the difference. But the more people there are the worse they become. This general rule of a person versus people goes a long way to explain the city of Ankh-Morpok: The largest city on the disc."
I'm with Izzy on the birthday question. I wouldn't mind presents, but getting older and being in the centre of attention...nah, thanks, I hate it! Especially when your birthday is the same day as another holiday. Mine's a national day, for example. And it's horrible, trust me
I can relate. I’m an American and my birthday is July 4… nothing like people shooting guns into the air and talking about how great some old white guys are on my birthday. Also all my friends always have plans :/
Same, I'm 26 and I've skipped four birthdays for now. People still say things but thankfully I live alone so I don't have to make a scene and celebrate it. It's a normal day.
When Laurie said his was in January, I felt that burn. No one wants to do anything in the middle of winter. I celebrate it by not working that day. An annual gift from myself, to myself.
Weirdly I recently turned 40 and I’ve slowly switched in the last few years from hating it, to being ambivalent, to now not minding it at all. It’s kinda nice hanging out with your friends doing whatever you want. Organising time when adults are free to catch up is the worst but when it’s your bday your friends are obligated to work around you and no one minds because of the social contract lol
I so feel Laurie with that statement about January Birthdays. Right after the holidays everyones burnt out from the social gatherings, saving back up not really spending after all they did over the holidays. Plus it's at the smack bang start of the year, so it's like whiped out immediately. So it's like the rest of the year goes by and it's like did I really have a birthday? As everyone else awaits and celebrates theirs.

I wanted to play with all of the Flintstones toys, but I was annoyed that they were not organized at all and I had to go looking everywhere to find all of the different characters. (2) There was a church. There was a song "He's got the whole world in his hands." After the event, there was an area with a stage. All the big kids were running and jumping onto the stage. I decided to do that... except I forgot to jump. Instead, I just ran straight forward and smacked my head, splitting it open. I had to go to the hospital to get stitches and (fifty years later), I still have a scar. (3) I remember trying to protect my sister from a bully by grabbing a rake and chasing him. (4) I remember visiting the Wizard of Oz theme park and the scary witch. (5) I remember watching some things on TV. (6) I remember the "Funny Faces" drink mix (like Kool-Aid but each flavor had its own mascot character). There was an offer for mugs that you could send off for, so my mom get one for me and one for my sister. I chose the green one because he looked cool. I didn't know what flavor it was until much later (it was the watermelon flavor's mascot apparently). (7) I remember falling down some carpeted stairs. The thing about being a sore loser is, it's about how you treat others when you lose. Which means if everyone around a table thinks you're a sore loser, but you don't.... you probably are 😂 Sorry, Holly! "My earliest memory is going to hospital because my older sister told me to eat a packet of silica gel." It's nice to know the phenomenon of truly evil older sisters is a global trend. Growing up, my sister once duct taped me to a chair, dragged me and the chair into her dark bedroom, stuffed a pair of her dirty socks in my mouth, and left me there struggling to get free for a good 5 minutes before returning in laughter. And that's *different* from the time she gave me an actual concussion with the metal prongs of an extension cable because I didn't know how to help her with something on the computer. What is it with older siblings?
Im getting more and more concerned as the video went on, that Tilly, both shares my name, hates her birthday as much as me, has exactly 15 plants and put a 10 for disliking people, which I said if she put 10, same as me, that I would post a comment 😂

In general I agree, but they all seem to think that complaining about ANYTHING makes you a sore loser, which... is not how it works
@@McBehrer from just what holly said in this video (haven't seen many other videos with her in) it sounds like 0 is very close to an accurate number
Im getting more and more concerned as the video went on, that Tilly, both shares my name, hates her birthday as much as me, has exactly 15 plants and put a 10 for disliking people, which I said if she put 10, same as me, that I would post a comment 😂
i really love these... you are a perfect replacement for the legendary TableTop series for me, Thank you so much!
The world record for breath holding (according to Google) goes to Budimir Šobat at an INSANE 24 minutes, 37 seconds!
Jesus christ. I suppose 3 minutes isn't so insane after all. That man's a dolphin in disguise!
@@AnEnormousNerd there's a video on UA-cam of David Blaine teaching some celebrities to oxygenate, and they are able to hold their breaths for a few minutes shortly after. It's very interesting to learn about!
Why is Sully wearing a massive pimping ring, has Adam finally popped the question? ❤
I was surprised by the number of large rings around the table
Really enjoying this channel! Adam is such a natural entertainer. The whole cast is great!!
Y'all are having such clear memories from when y'all weren't even in school yet. Like, my only early primary school memories are that of my father getting angry, and playing with beads. But like, I definitely can't specifically place such memories on a timeline
I need to see the results of the armwrestling... I smell a Parteon exclusive!
As i watch more and more of NRB Holly and Jon are definitely my favorites to see next Sullivan.
I quite enjoy the part of knowing more of my fav group of people.
I really enjoyed this episode! Hilariously chaotic at times, and yet overall a cozy feel to it.
Tuesday at lunchtime. One of my favorite times of the week! I get to enjoy another episode of Board Game Club!
What better way to start than fun facts about masturbating
Now after watching the episode, it was fun seeing how much I knew about the cast as y'all played. Trying to guess where you'd be based on what I know simply from watching this channel for a while now.
Just two years?! It's all inclusive! This is my home now. Breakfast buffet? Let's goooo.
Love love love you guys. So glad i found this channel. It's got me into the hobby but also provides me a great deal of joy every week.
I was waiting on this episode, because I like learning about people, and I learned a lot today.
Thanks guys for another great and joyful video with a bunch of people that have fun personalities really makes the rough workdays easier
Don't we all love it when a board game brings about an existential crisis
I actually think Jon’s 30 may be more of a stretch than Holly’s 0 for sore loser! Jon takes the Clocktower games so personally that I worry about him lol.
Absolutely, he's the worst loser of the lot. Takes any perceived slight SOOOO personally...
I like how the main consistent thing is that sully is just a nice guy who is happy with pretty much everything and just wants to party and play board games with his friends
Discovered this channel about a month ago. Love it so much I’m snuffling up the past videos like a coke fiend. Thanks all! Love your work!
01:06:53 up there as one of my favorite Jon quips. the delivery of "my sides have just gone.... greeeeaat joke" holy shit
This episode had me in stitches, watching you guys is such great entertainment!
Would love to see what video games they love so much!! Maybe have a side channel just for video games of them playing with/against each other :)
@@11th-lemon How do we find out where to watch them?
Jon "Kiss my grits" Gracey isn't a sore loser? Sure.
Yes, Adam... I knew about that first rule.
I had to rewatch this moment twice to make sure I'd heard it correctly! It called me off guard completely. Adam definitely know how to start BGC vids😳
Another fun episode! With that, the decision on my evening's entertainment has been made.
I am fairly new to the channel, but I must say that Tilly and Holly are my favorite players so far.
Favourite time of the week is when new BGC is posted!
Izzy's 10 seconds had me in hysterics
