Amazing, Daljit & Joey in the same room, heaven, lmao. Great video buddy, you blew it out of the park once again and it makes perfect sense. I'll definitely be experimenting with the 4-4-2. Another formation I'd like to see covered is the 5-3-2 wb. Take care 👍.
I would love to see the tactic used by the most contemporary coaches like Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel - 3-4-2-1. Thank you for the great and insightful videos. Cheers!
My favorite is the double supporting wingers and fullbacks with a midfielder on defense and one on attack. A Poacher/AF and a Target Man to get the most out of all the crosses that happen. I just love third man runs into the box. It scores mostly from crosses, but it's always fun to see the CM confuse the defense and get played in unmarked into the box.
hello boss im your new sub.i just want to thank you.your tactic explanations are priceless.i learnt way of thinking about tactics on this game.after the 4-3-3 perm. video i changed my 433 a little bit and literally CRUSHED the league but it WASNT like the copy paste i impressed by you and made my own thing. it was priceless too. thank you sooo much!
Wow, this series is a one I come back to watch over and over again. I second everyone asking for 3 and 5 at the back versions! I think because I have such low football intellegience that I have to go with brute force tactics because at least then I can kind of understand if it's working or not! Haha. Thank you so much coming from a Joey! :D
Often websites or newspapers only talk about formations, but the nice thing about football is that a formation means nothing without the game philosophy that you want to apply. As you are correctly showing in these videos, you can have the same formation but different combinations. Just a couple of questions, if I may, about using the wide midfielder in the "Controlled 442": 1. Using "stay narrow" helps the transition by keeping the players closer, but doesn't it risk opening the flank on counter-attacks? A RPM with good mental skills could avoid leaving the midfield uncovered, otherwise would you prefer a DLP able to hold the position better? From what I have tried, also using a wingback instead of fullback would have the same effect as natural overlap without the "stay narrow". 2. Assuming a combination between FB and WM with subsequent diagonal created by the WM, this means that the WM should have at least decent feet. In view of not having too many specialists, but players who can fill multiple roles, a WM in a similar tactic which other positions could fill? Maybe a DLP who generally has good technical skills without missing defensive ones?
Great video! I would love to see a video on the diamond formation (4-1-2-1-2), I like how it plays. With attacking full backs/wing backs and/or mezzalas/carrileros to provide width...
I've been playing around with the 442 lately and I thought It was impossible to play a possession based 442 but I'm doing that in tier 10 and winning games
great video once again! Very helpful !!!!!! I am going to start playing around with 442 at last since now i have a solid base to start from ! You could enlighten us with the classic Argentinian tactic....the one with the true 10...the 4312 !
Great video. Maybe you could try 3/5 at the back formations (besides the 343 from the Sporting stream). I think Porto has an interesting team to play 532.
this is gonna be great for my llm save. Have you ever thought of doing a replication of van Gaals total football with Ajax? Or Johan's? would love to see your take on it
Thank you so much for this video. I love the 442. Everything you teach here makes sense but I’ve tried to apply it to my own Southampton save and whilst I’m now scoring way more goals I’m also conceding more, so my results aren’t even close to the ones you show here. I’m so frustrated with it! What is it I’m missing?
Have you found out? Just starting to lose some momentum after B2B promotions and am I conceding a lot lol. I still score few goals a game usually, but oh boy it's not even close enough to the amount we concede for some reason atm. 😅😂😂
To answer your question, the easiest way to approach this when you are unsure is to go with a system playing a middle block that can fit in the players in your side who have footballing intelligence. IT could be a 442 or 433 it will depend on the kind of players you have.
Basically attributes that fit the roles. For the CM slots both players should have high teamwork and workrate, and the WM should be a good passer and crosser.
@@BusttheNet i really fancied playing with 2 WP, i had tried with atletico madrid, with saul and lemar as WP, now i am thinking of playing iwb too with them, if possible can u try once?
Hello, on the control / aggressive one, would it be ok to play with a wide playmaker instead of wide midfielder and switch the roaming playmaker to something like a CM(s) ?
This was by far the best intro i have ever seen
Thanks glad you enjoyed it

This was great!! I’ve never tried the 442 but after this video I think I am going to give it a shot. I would like to see the 532WB.
Pretty popular request
3/5 at the back formations please :)

Great suggestion!

Maybe 4-4-2 Diamond? Or any other diamond midfield formation. Absolutely enjoying this. It's like an online class but more fun. 😂😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it
Joey reminds me of myself at the moment 😂
great video, 442 is a lot of fun, and very dynamic tactic, for the next formation i would recommend one of the best formations in my opinion, 4312

Thank you for this very nice video about the 4-4-2. I would love to see a video about the 4-4-2 Diamond/4132/4312 variations too.
The old school 4-4-2 is my all time FM favourite setup
Great video and love the midfield role combinations. A 3 at the back tactical video would be great for next time.
I might do one but I need to manage peoples expectations about it too
Thank you for your huge efforts... it will be great if you cover 3 defenders tactics..... best regards
really good one this! Will tryout the OldSchool version on my Cambridge Utd save. Will suit them, I think. Thanks again for a Great Video
Glad you like them!
great job !!! Thank you Daljit !

Great work again! Could you do a 352/532 Premutations video?
Its fairly close to the 4-4-2, or at least it's thought to be another "big man up top" formation, but what about a 5-4-1
this is gonna be great for my llm save. Have you ever thought of doing a replication of van Gaals total football with Ajax? Or Johan's? would love to see your take on it
I think Jarhead did that on Discord it was pretty good
amazing video once again thank u so much... i think its time for a 4-3-1-2 tactic now...
Hope so!
Great video as always
I'm trying to replicate the 442 of Emery's Villarreal winning side of the Europa League. Might sharing any tips Daljit?
Thank you. I am so trying to get a 442 working but with no success!
You need to understand your players and the tactic to work
When people struggle with a 442 it’s always down to them not understanding how the players work the system.
Great video as always! One question : do you play in a live recap with this 442?
No I don’t think I did
Thank you so much for this video. I love the 442. Suggestion for next tactic: 4-2-2-2 Brazilian Box
Is it a viable option to have the old school 4-4-2 with a higher block? Or do the roles and duties work best with a low block?
Sorry for my lack of English, but where exactly did you have those combinations explained? 😅
Probs too late here but I want a libero formation, I had an immense libero but couldn't get him playing well
442d/4132/4312 would be great, thank you
352/532
Joey MVP 😂
can I have 3-5-2 or 3-4-3? Those tactics are something I'm not doing good so far, wish to understand more on it.
442 having mezzela and box to box
Hey could u please let me know which tactics to use for which games for example might use old school against the top 6 sides
Same question here! Would really like to know when you used the different styles. KUTGW!
@@Jo-dl2bc yes plz sir could u plz let us know when u use each tactic for which type of games especially for pl clubs like Southampton

Where can we find Joey streams?
Interesting, what if he takes over?
Boss how about 4-4-1-1
What attributes do the players need to have for the old school 442

Uncle, do you still write on the internet?
Nope.
You seem to love roaming playmaker, why?
532
Joey is better looking!! lol
I am jealous too.
Can a 442 with 2 wide playmakers possible?
Two wide playmakers may be a bit much. It is possible here but could leave the centre vulnerable and it would be cross heavy

3-5-2
