My Grandparents built a house on border of Beverly Hills Coldwater Canyon it was first house on right as soon as you saw beverly hills city limit. Architect Digest gave it house of the year in 1951 and my Grandfather name was named along with Mrs ( it's the 50s of course) it had sandstone brick 8 bathroom and a atrium where we played gilligans island in cos it looked like a jungle. A rose garden back yard lawn shuffle board and basket 6 bedrooms and a maid room my grandfather passed in 68 and18 months later my dad passed at 33 from a aneurism and in 72 she sold house to a Dr who painted the sandstone brick white and ruined the look. My grandmother moved to tallest apt bldg in bh on Oakhurst and had a pool on roof where she lived rest of her life. I went by house when I visited LA 6 years ago and was in process of tearing down so I parked and went in and talked to construction guys saying about my family and he let me look around and it was gutted he did say the atrium used to be there and a pool is. In yard now getting rid of green yard (I get that) haven't seen what's there since don't go to La as much anymore

Having done this myself, I'd say - You'll need to do some research and line up a good job, and a Visa to make the move!
You'd have to be a millionaire by the sound of it, or you'll end up in a tiny room with little facilities, looking at all the things you can't afford!
