I live a few miles Finch Frolic Permaculture Garden and have taken two tours so far. It's awe inspiring to see what Diane and Miranda have done to improve their property and create an oasis of beauty. Earlier this year, my husband and I asked Diane and Miranda for a consultation on our property. Our heads were spinning by the time they were done because they shared so much gardening and design ideas in one short hour. We've implemented many of those ideas but there's still more to be done. My husband and I are seniors and met late in life after our spouses passed away. We've only been married a little over two years. After my new husband moved into my home, he suggested we give up the water sucking lawn and make a garden. I agreed and after five months of hard work, we now have a thriving garden and a lovely brick patio hand laid by my 80 year old husband. One night we were watching different You Tube channels on my iPad when we stumbled onto your site, Kaye. We binge watched for days. We still follow you. My husband always says, "how's our girl doing?" Today is rainy and I sat down at my computer to eat my soup and check out my You Tube channels I follow. I almost leaped out of my chair when I saw the tour with Diane and Miranda. Thanks for sharing and supporting their journey in permaculture gardening. I highly recommend to gardeners and non gardeners alike to take their tour. It's worth the trip to see it in person and also our beautiful town of Fallbrook.
Thanks so much Kaye for visiting! It was a pleasure to meet you, and I appreciate all that you do. Making these videos takes a lot of hard work and planning, and you are very skilled at it. Miranda and I would love for you to return in the spring to see the garden at its most colorful. Best of health to you during this holiday season! Diane
Love seeing all the wonderful people who actually care for our world and acting responsibly teaching their children to love this beautiful world and wildlife such as the birds and butterflies.
Thank you, Steve! As the cinematographer of this piece, I can say the beauty that shone from Diane and Miranda's faces were as much a feast for the eye as the garden. I couldn't get enough.
Oh My goodness Kaye!!I can’t believe this...I found Buddha’s Hand citron at my market. I bought it and candied it!! Wonderful garden tour. Thank you for sharing your friends with us! Love, Mary❤️😘❤️
Thank you for an awesome video! Altho I live in Arizona, my daughter lives in Fallbrook area and we visit often so I can’t wait to see this place in the spring!
Bamboo is the tallest grass. This so nice this mother and daughter team did exactly what you did. I am a big fan of the cardboard mulch. If your going to use it in the suburbs you have to dig a hole and plant it so that it is not unsightly. This host is an artist. You can admire her balance of design in her hat an color. She is a walking piece of art:-) It is so nice that she used her bounty to enhance God's earth! That is such a great philosophy: "The problem is the solution":-) There are many beautiful and wonderful things going on in California and this is one of them! This was a real treat and the ad was better placed towards the end:-)
Sorry about the ads. YT is currently placing them. They have changed their software and I have much to learn about the new system. I'm so glad you appreciated it. Please share! xx
Lynne Dunlap Thank you Lynn and if you have anyone you can share it with I would really appreciate it. UA-cam is purging channels and I need new subscribers and views.❤️
I knew I’d fall asleep during the initial commercial but I’ll watch and enjoy again now. My broken wooden handle was going to cost me a fortune to have Gardentool company fix it so I ordered a new handle and I’ll have to fix it myself:-). There is a UA-cam video on how to do it:-). The steel is “lifetime guaranteed” but the wooden handle isn’t:-(. I love the tool so I’ll have to put my carpentry hat on:-). There is much of nature to enjoy w/o pesticides.
@@Latebloomershow I was very sad to find this out:-) They did replace the fork free of charge when a tine broke I really enjoyed this family's permaculture farm tour. She s using the talents and beauty that God gave her for the good.
Wonderful! I need to order one also to ensure you get it before Christmas. I think two is the minimum order they will print them. Which color did you order?
WOW !!! Very inspiring video, Kaye. How did you find this incredible duo? They are gardeners of my heart....a garden should be a magical place. Sure wish they lived closer to me than they do. I would love to visit their impressive creation and learn a gazillion things from them. They should be really proud of what they have done....beautiful food forest. Your close-up of their bird clock was hard to look at - mine "died" a couple of years ago and I really miss it. It's now on my to do list to get a new one.
Darrell Luck I knew you would love that video DARYL thanks for being so enthusiastic and the first thing I read when I wake up! If you are able to travel out here in the spring it’ll be cramped in my new place but you’re welcome to stay and I’ll take you back down there because I’d love to see it also or in the summer
Sausan found the garden when she moved there last year and had taken the tour. Beth follows me and when I said on a livestream I was going to San Diego, did anyone want to meet me, she responded. She met me at Sausan's and gifted me a garden book. We had a lovely lunch before going to the garden and I stayed the night with her. Next day, I was onward to Coronado. I'm debating whether to put together a video from the visit.
Connect with Diane and Miranda, and catch photos of the wildlife here: facebook.com/finchfrolicpermaculture or their website: www.vegetariat.com/
