Awesome video. I am glad that you pointed out that offshore doesn't necessarily mean you got to be out a long ways from the bank. I have caught fish on ledges that where in a few hundred feet of the bank on brush and ledges off the end of point protruding from the bank.
Kind of crazy when the best of the best tell you what they use, what colors, where, and how when their still competing.Thank you, your a very inspirational person🙏🙏
Your videos are consistently the best of the best - and my personal favorite - question - how far down the list is a tail spinner on your list for ledge fishing? I use a local product I’ve used for close to 50 years - a line thru bait called a wingding - and it will flat out catch ‘em!!! Just curious if you’ve found certain conditions when they excel. This time of year - the boat ain’t launching without one being tied on. All the best to you Jacob!!!
Would you use a vibrating jig instead of a crankbait in deep water that a crankbait can't reach,, my home lake is a Highland Reservoir in Northern California and I struggle to get bites on crankbait thank you for your time and video's,, fish on !!
Great video. Have you ever tried a wacky-rigged drop shot? I have even rigged a double drop shot rig with one hook at 8-12 inches off the bottom and the other at 24-30.” Both wacky rigged. This helps me find fish at different depths along a ledge and appears to work well on ledges that go up from deep on the bottom 18-25’ deep.
Great videos as always I live in the state of Pennsylvania with not best of fishing one big lake lake ray's town but it does seem to put more fish in the boat no matter what technique you are showing so thank you.
Jacob, thank you for this video on ledge fishing. I’m watching you today on live stream on MLF and you are leading the knockout round. Hope you can win this one. 🎣🛎
Just got a Lew's Mach smash baitcaster for my birthday. It's a 6-10 medium-heavy light action. What should I be using this rod and reel for this summer?
I thought the same thing so I paused it and seen the model# on the rod DFB176H-C I looked it up, seems to be the Duckett 7'6 Hvy Black Ice casting rod. $419 smackers

Doesn’t get tangled in rod locker
