Oh my Lord! Now the devils disciples know what the Spirit of God looks like? Right! They don't know His voice more less what the Spirit of God looks like! Run!!!!!!
I like sermon but husbands also make mistakes. I cannot agree to a decision I know will be bad for us. Women also have a brain❤
Yes, this sermon was 90% spot on...but Pastor Tony got WAAAAY off track on the husbands/wives submission part. Tony just got done stating that a wife MIGHT submit more to her male boss than to her husband. Then he relates that "she gets home from work" and he asks her to make a sandwich for him." When she gets sassy, his response is he "deserves for her to make him a sandwich" not only because wives are to submit to their husbands in everything but also because "he busts his hump to put a roof over HER head." Wait a minute, didn't Tony just say that she works too????
And how about his statement that her husband "gave her" her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. What????? (didn't God give them THEIR children and I would guess that she put in more effort in raising and caring for their children in the day-to-day responsibilities (I could be wrong)! Trying to justify God's Word for wives "to submit to their husbands in everything" is wrong. Please, let God's Word stand alone by the power of the Holy Spirit not by a man's justification of being "owed submission." If Tony believes that God's command is for his wife to submit to him in EVERYTHING (even his selfish desires of having a sandwich made by her right then and there)--then these last two comments were completely unnecessary and were not from the Word of God. Perhaps Pastor Tony could have utilized some of the original language from this verse before being translated to English to get the point across (like he did in other parts of the sermon) instead of placing blame/conviction on a wife to submit to a man's every desires--trying to justify his selfishness.
**His example for love/submission could have been for the husband to take the opportunity to LOVE his wife by saying, "I know WE BOTH JUST CAME HOME FROM WORK, BOTH OF US BUSTING OUR HUMPS to put a roof over our heads, so can we make a sandwich together, order in, or go out?" Or if he truly cannot make his own sandwich because he never has, how about, "Hey, I know you are tired and so am I, but if you would. make me a sandwich, I would be happy to take care of the kids or clean the bathroom so that you could go to bed early tonight."
It truly hurts to hear generational messages like this of pastors/men stating that their selfish desires are "what they deserve and are Biblically accurate," claiming the Bible states to "Submit to your husband in everything!"
What a great message this was in sections but was ultimately harmful to women. There are so many other Bible passages that could have been used to address his sermon title of "What Does the Holy Spirit Look Like." ---thank you for speaking up thomasschadler3691!!!!!! Be bold in stating what the Holy Spirit reveals to you!!!!!!
Good message, but he is not as good as Gary as a speaker.

Yes, you are correct. The sandwich story, busting his hump, and giving her children are totally out of context (Tony's view) from what the Word intends regarding submission. *See my longer response on the comment above!
