  • A sermon by Thomas Slager titled “How to Have a Godly Marriage” in celebration of Father’s Day.
Ephesians 5:22-33 reveals God’s design for marriage roles that serve as a beautiful reflection of the relationship between Christ and the church. But it’s also a passage that has been heartbreakingly abused in ways that lead to abuse. Listen in as we learn what the Bible says about how to have a godly marriage.

It's hard to find men who still know and value their place in the society....that's something to admire 🌻

As an unmarried woman at the moment, this video was very encouraging to watch. Great breakdown and explanation of the roles. The awesome thing about God is that He has given us a guide through His Word. Praying for a God-led marriage in the future.

I am 42 & not yet married. Right now I don't have the desire to be married and I may never marry. But, I know that Christ (God) will be more than enough. And, having good/solid relationships is also important.

Thank you for saying that women should not stay in an abusive marriage. I've heard many pastors say they must remain in the marriage and I wonder if they realize they are condemning these women to their physical demise. Best sermon I have heard on this subject, thank you for broaching this difficult subject matter.

I was praying for God to help me with this, this morning in my quiet time. So love my wife. But God always has a next level. This really helped me see some good things that I am missing the mark on.

I think this truth calls women to choose WISELY. Women need to be taught HOW TO CHOOSE WISELY.
I want a true LEADER I can trust to submit to as He has the ultimate say and I want to trust his ability and commitment to God and his ability to go to God for the right answer. And man enough/responsibile enough to pick up the pieces if not.
Oh Lord, sir, may I please be blessed with a man capable of being the Spiritual Leader of our family!🙏
