    As an American living in a border city close to Windsor Ont., I would occasionally see Mr. Mansbridge between overtime periods of NHL playoff games. What a great communicator he appeared to be. You were lucky to have him all of those years!
    Best of luck Mr. Mansbridge!

    Very surprised at the nasty comments, it seems the norm now to bring people down. I always thought he was the best of Canadian TV, I think I will continue to do so.

      Don't be surprised. Most of the comment sections for Mansbridge are disabled.

      Because of hate rethoric always aimed at journalists who do not share your political views.

    • @fredhubbard7210
      @fredhubbard7210 7 років тому +1

      Mauricio MP I am apolitical. As a journalist, he is supposed to be neutral. The big lie is that he had to repeatedly defend his neutrality on air. For that reason alone he can not claim to be neutral. But that is not the reason I loathe him. His broadcasts, are disabled far more often than most, because he embeds his politics in what should be objective.
      Learn the language--What does "journalists who do not spouse your political views." mean? Does "spouse" mean you think he should be married to my ideas? LOL

    I have nothing but respect for Mr. Peter Mansbridge, particularly in contrast to the circus/chaos going on south of the 49th with various news agencies' rhetoric and diatribes. We could always count on Peter to give it to us straight; no BS. He's a true gentleman and a damn proud Canadian.

      It is apparent you didn't`t watch Peter as Trump won the election it was as if he was commentator at a funeral. He and CBC ,CNN,MSNBC all fish in the same barrel, made up news isn`t news it`s made up.

      @@stooner1000 A word that always comes up with mansbrige is honesty. He was bias paid shrill, who had zero integrity at the end of his career. Unbearable!!! Just run cover for a crooked govt who is wasting tax dollars on this crooked bias journalist. An elitist journalist who thinks we should pay tax dollars to him so he can tell us how great he is and how worthless we are, the one who pay his wages.

    200 thumbs up versus around 40 haters. That amounts to a popularity of 75%. Give me another name in journalism who has achieved that. Haters, radical neocons are partying his depart, the only pleasure they ever had in their empty, dead end existence.

    Dear CBC:
    1. One permanent replacement. Three anchor-reporters is ridiculous;
    2. Mark Kelley must be that solo anchor.

    This is another thing to celebrate on Canada's 150th. Now I can stop writing CBC asking for your resignation. Happy Canada Day to one and all!
