Too bad it doesnt have vai switching. My biggest fear of playing shows at big venues is guitars being stolen. Been thinking of getting a chibson clone of one of guitars to play at shows.
That mod is not hard to do, if you know basic soldering...you cannot do it, of course, with the stock pickups that come in these Chinese Jems (they only have 2 leads, and are really not very good anyway), but you can get really good pickups on Ebay for $12-20 a set, with 4 wire leads for coil splitting, and drop them in and hook up the coil split wires to the 6 & 8 terminals on the 5 way switch, and there you go...Vai switching. Add a $60 Edge III bridge (from Ebay also), and you have a very nice guitar for about $300. I have several of these guitars from China, and I absolutely love them. And I have learned from UA-cam videos and online wiring diagrams how to completely modify them, level and polish the frets, and even repaint them so they look professional, with spray cans. Yes, a real JEM is better, but not so much better that it's worth $5,000...I have about $300 a piece in my Jems, and they are 95% as good as the original. Seriously. I hope that helps.

As long as the body and neck are cut and assembled correctly, even on a super cheap guitar, installing new hardware and leveling and polishing the frets can make it play and sound like a high end instrument. You forgot to put the truss rod cover back on after having to adjust the neck and cutting the video to make it look like it played that way out of the box. Shame on you.

I get that the title says chibanez, but the people who made it didnt even bother to cover the rg logo on the headstock, and whoever did the rout for the monkey grip SUCKS. but hey, im a self branded guitar Luthier, soooooo what would I know about a good quality vs bad quality product, its TOTALLY not like i make guitars or anything (i actually do make quality guitars btw) so yeah, what does my opinion matter to anyone.
