- A quick review of the Lay-Z-Spa Paris to accompany my blog post review.
Blog Post - blog.bay-bee.c...
With the summer holidays ahead of me and no holidays planned we thought we would look into getting a pool for the kids for the garden. After my patio table smashed in the Autumn, we had an empty patio in the garden! I thought this would make a perfect place to take the weight of a pool. However, I was restricted by the size of the patio.
We popped into The Range one day and there was a Lay-Z-Spa on display! The girls loved this idea as it meant it was going to be warm and would get much more fun from it as it was warm. They had been saving up for something like this for ages, so they clubbed their money together and purchased a Lay-Z-Spa Paris hot tub.

You have a peaceful voice.
Thanks!
I agree very therapeutic career as a voice over artist i reckon lol
I was thinking the same lol asmr hot tub style 😂
Totally agree 👍 bedtime story voice for a snooze 👌💤
I’ve got the same one. Yes it’s very good. Worth the money. Good quality, bare in mind your electric bill it will shoot up a fair amount. The heater uses 2 kilowatts an hour.. so if your electricity charges you 18 p per KW that’s 36 p each hour the heater is on.. in the summer not too bad. But even the end of September. It will be on more to maintain 37 / 38 c roughly £17 a week with the heater going for 5-6 hours a day, on and off, and believe me the temperature doesn’t stay up when you don’t set it to kick when it drops to around 33/34 that was what it was costing to run it when the air temperature is around 16-20 c I pack it away between end of Oct - may.
Yes we packed ours away over the winter too, kids can't wait to get it out again!!
Thats all ok if you have solar panels on your roof ☺
Great product, easy to clean -worked out great !
Brilliant!
Great little video we have purchased one today and now waiting for it to fill up can't wait.
Thanks, have lots of fun!
Hi great review my moms birthday is coming up so we ordered it for that. Hope your doing fine during Quarintine
Thanks! Oh exciting, she will love that for a birthday treat! We're all well, thanks
Where did you get it from, i've been looking online and can't find one anywhere?
@@RenovationBayBee We are just putting the chemicals in now
Thanks again
Fab review. Take care and thank you
Thank you! You too!
Hi I'm getting a Paris spa delivered tomorrow could you please tell me is the any thing I need electrical wish for this etc or does it connect to your socket in house .I don't want to be getting electricuted .thank you.
All depends on your own set up and where it all is. The instructions are helpful, if not sure speak to a electrician 💥 Have fun and enjoy!
@@RenovationBayBee ok thanks it will be outside.so il probably have to pay for a RCD connection what every it's called.bet electrician be expensive.
do u find it better to heat the spa up all the time or just when your needing it, as im hearing its actually cheaper to run it all the time than just heating it from cold when you need it ? thoughts
I own this same exact hot tub, and I honestly find it is a lot easier on the electric to keep your water at least 90 degrees (Fahrenheit) if you plan on using it regularly, and then just turn your heater and pump on approximately an hour or two before you plan on using it (if you want it to be the full 104 degree limit). It does take more energy to fully heat it up from hence 40 degrees to the full 104 limit rather than going from 90 degrees to the 104. That is just what I personally have noticed from using it for a long time now. I hope that helped!
This is what we're wondering this year, we're currently turning it off overnight, but leaving it running during the day. We keep it around 36-37. I'm not sure what's cheaper.....
Thanks. We're currently keeping it at 36-37 and just running it during the day. We turn it off at nighttime now, not sure what works out cheaper!
Having an issue with the lights. They come on but the remote doesn’t seem to want to change them. What have I don’t wrong? Where is the sensor located for the remote to be pointed at?
Oh sorry I'm not sure. We don't have to point it at anything to get them to change. Contact the Bestway customer services and see if they can help
Hi, I got the same spa and got it set up again last week, now when I go to turn the heat on an error appears, I've tried straightening the pipes etc. Have you come across this error?
Hi, no sorry ours is working fine this year. I'm not sure, try the customer care service on LayZSpa
I’ve just bought this and I’m a bit confused as to how you store it outside, the led lights can’t be taken out once water is in so where do you store the plug bit with the risk of it raining etc?
We have an external outside socket where ours plugs into, as yes that needs to be out of the elements
@@RenovationBayBee i have roof on my gazebo ,just throw in in middle of hot if have roof in a bag
Is the pump noisy? Thanks
There's a hum constantly, but not loud
Hi I recently purchased the st lucia, do you find that once the cover is of and it's in use, the heat continuously drops? Like the heater cant keep up. Thanks in advanced
When using the bubbles the temp goes down quicker, but you will lose heat when the cover is off. But it doesnt go down quickly
Well I keep mine at 40, but once I'm in there and bubbles on, it's down to 35/36 with in about 45 mins, is this usual would toy say?
@@afcpt1131 sorry I'm not sure, I don't have the bubbles on that long. Try their customer services and see what they say
@@afcpt1131 Yes that is normal - you are blowing cold air through hot water so of course it will cool down. More expensive tubs heat the air before blowing it out so they don't cool the water.
Hi, Nice tub. Where did you get your base tiles from?
Thanks. I got ours from Amazon but seen in b&q too
@@RenovationBayBee thank you
Can you go in this without chemicals
I wouldn't, your get ill as bacteria grows in the water quickly
Ok thanks
Do you still have and love it a year on?
Yep this is our 3rd summer with it and love it 👍
When you activate the bubbles does the unit shut off to recharge or is it continuous ?
I think they shut off after a certain time, but you just turn them on again at the pump
@@RenovationBayBee how long before bubbles are automatically turned off?
@@sheriefraser2323 I can't remember off the top of my head, but 15 mins maybe?
@@RenovationBayBee hmm OK.. thanx for info
Yeah under 400 wher did you get it from? all I see ia around 700
Yeah 2 years ago 🤣 But it was from The Range
500 at B&M, slightly more at B&Q
Hi, how long does it take to heat up the water?
thanks
I would say around 24hours from cold to 38
if u use oil heating run from tap to half fill ,when heating is on and saves money ,and heats house too
Could you do a how to set up and maintain the chemicals in your spa. I am really struggling to keep mine clear and not get green or cloudy water
Yes I could do, but just so you know we do add chlorine in each day to maintain the levels constantly
Try using reverse osmosis filtered water. Should last for months
Would having the bubbles on be heard by neighbours ?
Yes definitely, they're quite noisy
Thank you very much for the interesting video, we would also like to buy one, are you still satisfied with the product? greetings from switzerland marco
Yes 100%, we love it!
such a calming voice you have, we just ordered the lazy spa airjet.
Thanks!
@@RenovationBayBee thank you - all set up and ready to go. Just need to get the led strip to stay flat, as it isn’t at the moment. It would appear the side where the light is needs to reflect upwards?
@@MrMoneyLong this happened to us if their was a kink in it when threading through. The water weight should keep it in place once threaded through
@@RenovationBayBee ok, thanks for your response.
Is this the same as the Rio because I was thinking about buying it and it’s got the same dimensions so I’m assuming it’s the same? Anyone have any advice
Hi, I'm not sure but I think their website has a comparison of them all to see the differences
Renovation Bay-Bee that’s the problem I think it’s an older model because they don’t have it on their website anymore
Are the air jets noisy?
Yes!
Do light come with it
Yes the light strip around the bottom
Hi there, I am looking to purchase one but one thing I am trying to judge is the cost of electricity. I would probably have the heater on around 9-12 hours. I don't know how much temperature drops and ect?? So what do you think it would cost around to have the heater on for that amount of time?
I'm not sure as it always depends on so many factors, but I reckon £30-40 extra an month.
@@RenovationBayBee I have done a little more research and one thing I am trying to find out is how many people do you think could fit in it because it is apparently 6 people but in your point of view, how many adults do you think could fit in it? Thanks
Perfect review, thanks!
But god, please get a Pop filter
Noted! Thanks!
what is a pop filter please?
I want one and I am going to get one
Have fun!
Je viens de l'acheter aussi !!
Bestway sells the quality of manufacture of their Spa, mine the Lay-Z-Spa Palm Springs Hydrojets bought 680 € in 2019 will not have even been 3 summer, because of a pipe which is screwed and not welded!
it is therefore dislocated inside! This had the consequences of sending water into the air coil when starting Pfff, the warranty obviously has expired for barely 3 months, contact the after-sales service who does not recognize the problem no commercial gesture !
Basically I would have to buy the liner sold for 440 €! which is not available which will have the same problem!
Couple of things: First, the "bubble ring" only encompasses 2/3 of the interior of the hot tub. About 1/3 has no bubbles. You won't want to be sitting in that area.
Second, the air used to blow the bubbles is not heated, only the water is. If its 53 degrees outside, the air bubbles in the tub are also 53 degrees. Just so you know before buying this spa.
Thanks for your extra info on the hot tub, all good points
Not true anymore. I had a prior version where the bubble ring was 2/3. Now my new Miami version the bubble ring is 95% and the air injected is heated by the same pump that heats the water. So keeps warmer longer.
@@jc10907Sealy sounds brilliant 👏
i asked my friendly neighbour to use use there hose .took half the time too fill. be kind ppl
That voice😍💤💤💤asmr for you.👍
I have one on order from the range and wow under 400 pounds u paid I just paid 659 for mine !! Covid tax at its finest 😐
Wow! Supply and demand too isn't it, so many people wanted one last year!
@@RenovationBayBee I know, but I’m so looking forward to it. And plus we ain’t getting a holiday this year so may as well have one in the garden.. 😅👌 great video by the way thank you makes me even more happy I ordered the same one as you got...
@@jamesjohn3435 we've just filled ours back up ready to use again! Enjoy it!
no way you made your kids Pay for it
Yes, if they want something big they save up for it 🙂 That's normally what you have to do in life if you want something
Nothing is free in life and this is a great way to teach your children that.
@@iBUNGATz thanks 🙂👍
Too many opinionated people out there.. I think it’s a really good way of teaching kids that they can’t have everything they want, if they want something they must pay. Kids don’t understand the value of money, but this is great parenting!
Just ordered the Paris, can’t wait.
😊
Great review, you've convinced me il going to get one tomorrow 👍👍
Sorry I've just seen this, hope you managed to get one!
