- I'm The Guy That's Done Everything and here's some footage from my stay at the Memories Varadero Resort! We went in April of 2014 and had an amazing stay. We did the catamaran excursion, swim with dolphin and went on a tour of Havana. A video of my time in Havana will be posted shortly. The food wasn't the greatest but we still had a blast, hope you all enjoy the video. It is kind of long but I didn't want to leave anything out! I will definitely be heading back in either 2015 or 2016 (maybe both!!)

Varadero beach is awesome and it look like you had a great trip and stayed at a great beach resort. Nice!

Awesome video bro...I was at the same resort April 2015. Very nice people and lots of stuff to do.
I was just there, last month, and I even took that same dolphin tour. I'll admit this resort does have its problems, such as the food is not too good (but this is Cuba wide, we walked over and lunch in a neighboring resort. a 5 star resort, and it was the same deal) the entertainment is bland and the staff isn't too helpful. other than that, this resort is a blast, it was very clean and organized as far as I saw, with all the booze your alcoholic hearts desired (I was in heaven lol.) And the dolphin tour was amazing. it is about 6 hours long and has 3 stops: First was the dolphins, where you got to touch / kiss the dolphins multiple times, what an expirence ! Then there was the snorkeling, again awesome! You even got to keep the snorkel, and lastly, you stop at one of the most beautiful islands I've ever seen, where you are treated to a surprisingly good bufet and bar, there was even an open bar on the boat, everything from food and drinks is included in the price, only $110!! That's a steal for and exiting tour of this length. I would definitely recommend this resort
This is a really nice place, swim up bars everywhere. Amazing drinks okay food. Loads of fun! I recommend the Dimond Club for extra treatment.

i went there the july 23 it was so hot but very awesome arenas blancas and barcelo was not bad and the havana club and all this stuff was amazing

how was the food? went a couple years ago and the flys were all over the food at every meal. wondering if its changed?
Food wasn't the greatest, the 2 special dinners you get during your stay were better. Also I went in to Havana the one day and had an amazing meal at a small little restaurant there. For what I've heard the food at most of the resorts isn't too great.
The food has changed a lot. It's good now, I went on New Years 2016.
Were you on that trip on the catamaran with the drunk woman who yelled out " I love you, This is sign language" what a nutbar. Trying to find that video. there were enough ppl recording it that day..
Ok, I may be going to that resort, because I booked a surprise getaway package with sunwing so I may go to 1 of 4 resorts that one may be one of them I won't known until 3 days before I leave, if it is that one anything you recommend that I do?
joseph merrick I would recommend the Catamaran Excursion, and if you want to see some historic Cuba take a tour or even a cab to Havana. Those were two of my favourite things from the trip

+joseph merrick take my advice and do not go to Memories!! Ive been traveling south now for 16 years straight and Memories is the biggest dive Ive ever stayed at!! Horrible food, filthy rooms and toilets, rude staff, no ice or beach towels etc etc etc .....
This is the worst resort I have ever stayed at.
i was at Memories Varadero Resort last year as well where is dolphins i never seen it there planing on going there again in a few months and would like to try the dolphins with my gf if you can let me know where to do that and if there is anything else you think we should try i never did much the first time i went
It was a catamaran excursion that they were selling at the hotel for around $100. (it was an outside company I beleive) It included swimming with the dolphins, snorkeling, visiting the the island I show us walking up to and where the birds fly away in the video. The sands were so white, it was an amazing excursion!
It's a waste of time unless you are into exploiting poor animals but there's lots of other great shit to do like the off-road tour or horse back riding similarly priced at 100
I am thinking to book this resort but from the google map, it says there is another resort right in front of this resort at the beach. is Memories Varadero Resort far from the beach?
Elliott Ban the whole resort is memories its long starting at the beach going all the way to the road

The airport runway there is so short and awkward! It curves upward at the start.

I have travelled south now for over 19 years and ive been to many resorts - and in all my travels this is hands down the dumpiest resort ive ever been to!! I dont even know wher to begin with this place.... first off the rooms are absolutely filthy rotten, the food is unedible, the grounds , pools and most of all the bathrooms were utterly disgusting!! and thats just to name a few things!! Believe me people im not saying all this to hear myself complain and im not fussy...
Leafs Forever what resort would you recommend?
