    Oh what has the blue dollar rate changed to only getting around 30 percent extra? Used to be 100% back in 2022. Sad how inflation and devaluation have been increasing on such insane rates

    Me again Johnny, you don't seem to have spent much time living in Europe, except Ukraine... Why not? Hopefully not through pathetic racism! Germany, Italy, France, Spain and the UK aren't always that expensive... My favourite destinations are generally in Eastern Europe - Especially Prague, Krakow and Berlin (which was formerly in Eastern Germany... I live in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK... Dave Fletcher 🤓

      Not sure what you mean. Johnny has visited UK, France and many other European countries, but of course spends most of his time living in Ukraine because that's where his properties are. I don't think racism has ever been mentioned, other than in the context of his upbringing in the USA.

    I was there last year and the "blue dollar" is the biggest problem in Argentina, having to look for black market cuevas de cambio (because you get F'd in the ass if you go to a bank for the official exchange rate) and FORGET using credit cards because AGAIN all you get is the official exchange rate. And forget using ATM's because of the same problem.
    I found for the 3 months I was there that I had to leave the country every 30 days to visit Uruguay to get dollars (ATM's dispense dollars there) then cross back over the border and go to a cueva - $800 dollars changed to Pesos would give you two HUGE STACKS of bills (which made huge bulges in all my pants pockets) that you'd have to scurry back to your hotel while hoping you don't get robbed, lol.
    But yeah they have the BEST BEEF IN THE WORLD brother and I ate plenty of that, and FUCK the idiots who don't want to watch people eating, they are likely just a vocal few and I'm sure the rest of us don't mind at all, especially showing us all the wonderful different dishes from around the world, keep up the great work ;?D
    BTW, I'm currently in Sri Lanka but I also call Round Rock TX home right now while I'm traveling the world these next few years and I'm also doing this because I can't afford to live in the US on my SS payments (waiting 2-3 more years for some investments to mature before I can really consider it ;?)

    • @JohnnyFD
      @JohnnyFD  17 годин тому

      It's a bit easier now as credit cards are similar to the blue dollar rate, and you can use Western Union to also get within 5%. But I can imagine how much of a pain it used to be! But yes, agreed, Best Beef!

    We were in BA in March and we loved the city architecture, we loved how everything is so green, the people and the food especially. Are things now even more expensive?

    • @claudiomaxl
      @claudiomaxl 15 годин тому +2

      from March to today, in dollars, it's practically similar, the huge jump, making all goods much more expensive than in 2023, occurred with the change of national government, in December 2023, when the official dollar that was at $ 380 jumped to $ 800, that impacted the cost of companies and obviously they passed it on to prices, and as the official dollar from December 2023 to today practically rose very little, today at $ 950, the local price increase + the "stability" of the official dollar since December 2023, made the country much more expensive in USD, but from March 2024 to today, in USD, there's not much difference.

    I know you stayed an extra week in BA, but I'm surprised you didn't travel somewhere else in South America since it is such long trip back to Ukraine. Anything in South America you would want to visit in the future? I like it when you show and explain local specialties and meals. And describe the flavors or compare to foods we are familiar with as Americans. Hope you stay in Kyiv into January when they celebrate their Christmas and show the city lights and outdoor festivals in videos.

    the exchange rate for blue dollar and MEP r practically the same. today, if u sell blue dollar, u get $1,225 and if u use cards: MEP dollar, it's $1,210.

    The credit card insurance doesn’t pay for the expenses. You have to pay out of pocket and claim it later in a hope they approve and reimburse.
    May not be bad to buy a travel insurance when purchasing the plane ticket. It works the same way but the chance of approval is more,

    Here's a fun one for you as a US citizen with an US medical insurance. My husband was in a bad car accident last year, and he has a traumatic brain injury. It still costs z lot out of pocket even though insurance covers a certain amount. They cover less and less. BUT, to do his neurological followup he had to have an MRI. It's cheaper at an imaging studio instead of at a hospital. We asked how much it would cost us. She said if you go through insurance it will cost you $1,200 out of pocket.....But if you don't go through insurance it will cost you $400. Lately, I've had physicians and pharmacies recommend paying cash for some things rather than going through insurance in order to save me out of pocket cash! Crazy. Also, if we did go to a Medicare for all it would be a guaranteed government check paid to the same insurance companies that are fleecing us now. It's cheaper to pay an insurance company to handle so many thousands of patient cases than to hire people as government employees that belong to a union, and it takes something really really horrible for a federal employee to get fired. So they tend to have extremely poor customer service skills. But yeah, Obamacare wasn't meant to succeed. I mean, before 2014 if you had insurance the cost was low out of pocket. Technically you couldn't qualify for insurance if ot wasn't through your employer and you had a preexisting condition. But you could get something called medical indemnity. Now all employer plans are like having medical indemnity because it's a higher deductible and higher out of pockets costs. Of course, now they call it a Bronze plan. Insurance companies are going up on us in incredible amounts and we don't get much out of it. The insurance companies know that if they take care of little enough that we'd demand government insurance and they want the guaranteed paycheck from the government. Insurance would be far cheaper if all insurance was available in every state, but because every state has different provisions and regulations, most

    • @RadarcoreTX
      @RadarcoreTX День тому

      Employers only have a choice of Bronze plans between 2 or 3 companies. If it were against the law for us to pay more out of pocket by going through insurance than not going through insurance, and there was more competition by giving us 10-20-3] options, that would do far more than providing them with a guaranteed customer that tends to pay more than the market value. Anyway, my two cents worth.

      3k? the medium salaray per month is like 400 dollars here (and thats the average not even the minimum wage). 3k usd per month is a lot here. The cost of living is high for us who are payed in pesos argentinos and lower salarys in USD compared to the average in US. 30k per month you are rich here. Actually youtubers here made less money because the revenue given by publicity depends on the geographical zone (wich would make sense since the market in US is way bigger because of the amount of people and money to spent). 100 dollars for a meal here is a lot too, he definetly went to really good places.
