The danger of approaching finns is very low in winters. But that is about the only good thing. well anyways happy you chose a nicer season this time.

The current Lapin Kulta isn't the original brew. It was taken over by Hartwall, and was changed. It's now a very weak beer with not a lot of taste. A craft brewery, Tornion Panimo, revived the original under the name of Lapland Lager. It can be found in the larger supermarkets like Citymarket and Prisma. If you're really lucky, you'll find a bar that has it on tap. That "other" cathedral is Uspenski Cathedral, the main Russian Orthodox one. It is quite ornate inside, unlike the typically subdued Lutheran churches and cathedrals.
Yes, i remember those winter videos and having some small convarsation in the comment section as well. We´ve got quite long and warm summer this year. May was way hotter than normaly, june was little chiller, but the begining of jult and end of it were pretty hot. Many days over 30 celsius. Also august were hot, but not over 30 anymore. It has still been quite warm for october. This kind of wether is about twice in a decate. Well anyway it has been a great summer and the autumn is banging right out of the door. I wouldn´t like to move on the colder season, but it eventually is coming. Becouse of warm summer it propably will be a very cold winter. Last winter january were pretty cold and it went below -30 celsius many times. I sure don´t miss that.

Welcome back! You got super lucky with the weather! It's been one of the hottest summers ever, even September has been quite a lot warmer than usual. By the way, did you know that Suomenlinna has an open prison? Most prisoners work somewhere in the island during the days with some supervision. The prison is probably somewhere in the closed off area you tried going to. The prisoners would mostly be near the end of their sentence, and the more dangerous criminals are certainly in closed prisons!
You have to come back during summer and rent a cottage at a lake. Summer, lake, cottage, sauna and sausages 😎
