In this video I have shown how to make your own Internet Controlled AC dimmer circuit using ESP 01 module, Triac and some other basic components.

In the video you said there was some fault in the pcb design. Have you corrected the same in your gerber file or in your schematics?

Adding ESP12 with 2 or 4 (optional) channel control will be a massive hit. Awaiting your development. Great project though.

Thanks for video and efforts. İs it working on LED Bulb ? Other circuit cannot work on LED Bulb. İt is a same circuit, but not inside the Esp Module.

Hi, first of all thanks, the project is very nice! I have a problem, if before start i plug only zcross pin it goes in boot mode, if i plug only triac pin it goes in reboot loop, the only way to make it work is plug power, then the triac pin and last zcross pin.. I'm using the original code to keep all simplest as possible and check out the error, I'm sending via serial pin the value and is working..
I tried with your same arduino settings and I modified the pcb interrupting the connection to tx pin and rerouting to gnd.. do you have any idea about how can i solve? Tried as well changing esp01 and pcb
Goodnight! Why do you recommend using the board manager version 2.4.1 in your video? Arduino currently uses version 2.7.4. But when you compile your sketch, the program doesn't work properly. I tried to downgrade the board manager to version 2.4.1. After that I can not load the firmware into the ESP8266. I suspect that the problem is in the hw_timer library, but I do not know how to fix it
i have a question as i saw in the video that even when the brightness is zero the bulb is still on so will i have to use a relay along with this dimmer circuit so that the on/off part is controlled by relay and the brightness is controlled by this circuit kindly reply...

Hi i used your code and schematic on veroboard. The problem is when i power esp-01with zvc pin connected to mct2e the triac fire and bulb stays full bright even i set it to 0 from ubidots. But when i power on esp-01 with zvc pin disconected and once booted let sat after 2 sec and then connect zvc to mct2e it works. I want to know how can i overcome this problem

I want to turn the bulb to dim state when nodemcu starts and when motion detected it turns the bulb in the full state for some time and back to dim state.

Sure
not good for inductive loads... lacks RC circuit. no manual control.. using smartphone is not always handy..
And at 1:27 as per your schematics it looks like your are switching the neutral side and not the Hot side. So even if the dimmer is set to zero and someone touches the fan or buld terminals, they will be shocked to death. Change it as soon as possible...

Thank you for sharing the knowledge. I have tried it my home. But it is not working. When switched ON/OFF power supply, the bulb blinks just once. Afterward no effect on bulb. How to debug the problem if possible kindly guide.
