Thanks man , I lost the hardware for mine , rally armour wouldn't get back to me , this extensive install allowed me to purchase the bits and pieces I needed , I used M6 clips and stainless m6 bolts with a Phillips head , stainless washers , for the spacers I used some nylon dowl , cut to length and drilled the centres .
Just wanted to say thank you for this video watched the entire time I was installing my new mud flaps lol didn't even read a word of the directions just followed you on the video... I'm new to doing the whole car part thing so thanks for the help keep up the good work and videos
Thanks so much for this!!! Just got some breast cancer edition rally armour mud flaps for christmas for my 06 wrx and now i kmow exactly what to do haha dont even have to watch the video again you showed it so well
That's great to hear! That is exactly why I made that video so detailed, so others doing the install knew exactly what to do. I'm so glad it helped you!!
Great Video! I didn't realize that 2002 / 2003 WRX didn't come stock with mud flaps. We bought our 2002 WRX sedan used and it came with mud flaps but one got pulled off going over a tall speed bump so I was checking Subaru for OEM flaps and apparently there are none for 02/03 MY. The Rally Armor look pretty good so I might get these and this video was very helpful. Thanks for the clear step by step!
Wow! Didnt realize how easy these were to install. Always hesitated buying them because they looked hard to install, after seeing this im buying them now!
Awesome Video! Thanks for taking your time to make such a thrall installation video. I bought mine second hand so I didn’t have instructions or parts list
Thanks! I wanted it to be detailed so people can actually follow it if they are doing an install. So many "install" videos don't show any steps. What good is that? Lol. & I think my slider skills need some work, but I'm happy with how the shots turned out. Haha.
+Andrew Katsanos I was worried about melting it too. Haha. But you put it on a low temp, like 100*F or something for about 10 mins. It's been a while since I did it, so I don't remember the specifics off hand. You just want to soften up the sealant so you can separate the 2 halves. I'll make a how to vid when I replace my driver side light, because it has a few cracks starting to form.
wasn't able to fit one of the long screws (the one at the bottom closest to the side skirt) due to rust inside the side skirt , but I was able to fit the rest in in perfectly. the only happen to the front driver mud flap. hope it isn't a big deal for, wouldn't want it coming off in the future :/
Typically I put them under the front subframe & in the back I use the pinch welds, or somewhere sturdy near there. I hate using the pinch welds though because it bends them over & pushes out the side skirts.
Like the jacking plate right in the front center near the diff? Yea my pinch welds are totally fucked, Im afraid I wont be able to attach side aero pieces anymore lol. Thanks awesome channel btw!
+Douglas Yau The jack I have doesn't reach that far with my diffuser. There is a metal bracket near the rear pinch welds that is just inside of them. IIR it attaches some suspension bits. I use that & have never had problems. & Thanks. 👍🏻
Do you know if these steps would apply to installing these mud-flaps on a subarea legacy GT wagon or sedan? Loved the video very detailed which is much appreciated. Keep up the great work.
+TheKid _Joker I would recommend following the instructions specific to your vehicle (Link in description) From what I can tell, every model is slightly different, so a Legacy will have slightly different hardware included, & the flaps will be cut differently & have different mounting points, but most of them install in a very similar fashion. So while this video may not be exactly step by step, it may still help you. & Thanks. That's exactly why I made it so detailed, so it could potentially help people.
For screw number 4 on the front mounts, I was having some trouble with the screw biting into the piece you put behind the fender liner. It just keeps rotating inside the hole no matter how much force I apply and whatnot. Did you experience this problem? Any tips?
Thanks for the video it’s really clear. I’ve got a 03 wrx wagon and on the Cobb website it says wagons require modification. Do you know what kind of modification it needs?
Brennan Zoerb Offhand I do not know what modifications would need done. I’m guessing maybe some trimming or something? I would do a Google search & check out Subaru forums like Nasioc, IWSTi, etc. This almost certainly has come up before & there is a good chance someone has posted about it. Good luck. 👍🏻👍🏻
Hey man I should be installing my mud flaps this week, and am just curious where the F to put my jack stands. Looked for pinch welds and I could not see them.
They should be about 4 inches in from the side of the car, behind the front wheel & in front of the rear wheel. Sometimes I also use the sub frame. As long as you find something solid, that won't bend, break, or shift, you should be good.
It’s plastidip. I masked off that snap & sprayed it. Currently I have my car wrapped & I replicated that with matte black vinyl. You can buy rolls of it on metrorestyling.com
Hey dude I've got a 06 sti just wondering what's the best mudflaps I should get, is there much difference between the poly-blend plastic and polutherene besides from price?
could I get the length of the spacers and long screws? trying to source the parts at the hardware store. looks like possibly a 1.5 inch spacer with 2inch long screws?

+HawkeyeSTiGuy thanks for the quick reply buddy. unfortunately rallyarmour is uncooperative when it comes the the hardware info. I've tried haha, this is more than enough info, thanks again!
Nice! That's awesome! I found it on eBay several years ago. It made of polyurethane & is a replica of the Chargespeed 2 lip. They come & go, but generally are like $60-80 on eBay.
Josh Opie Thanks! They are the UR series. I’m pretty sure the basic flaps are stiff plastic & don’t flex. The UR are a lot more expensive, but they are very durable.
Thanks. & yeah. The reason I used manual focus is because I wanted it to auto focus on the parts as I held them closer to the camera. I'm still learning my camera, but I need to see how to bump it up to a higher f-stop in video mode. 👍🏻
Keeping the salty shit from spraying up the side of your motor i never thought of it like that ... I pick up a forester tmoz with STI mud flaps on was gonna remove but after watching and listening to this guy think il be keeping them on ..
Easily the best installation I've seen on UA-cam. Good Job.
Thank you! That means a lot! 👍🏻👍🏻

Awesome! Yeah, they are a breeze. I uninstalled mine for summer & just put in 1 long screen to hold the side skirts in place. I love these flaps. 👍🏻
I saw couple other videos but yours was the most helpful and very clear..Will start on my mud flaps now ..thanks dude
No problem. I'm glad it helped! 👍🏻
Awesome video! Very clear instructions! Thank you! You helped me get my mud flaps on even if it took me all day lol
That's great to hear!! Glad it helped!!
Happy Holidays man
Thanks for the great vid
I just finished put them mine on, took me 2 days. You know how PA and Jersey weather is.
Happy Holidays to you too! I certainly do! Haha.
Really helpful video. We got ours installed very quickly thanks to your video! Thank You!
That's awesome! Thanks for the comment! I love hearing positive feedback! I'm glad it helped you! 👍🏻👍🏻
Very thorough install video! I have these on my LGT, they are really high quality and they look awesome haha! Great video!
+LAZY Thanks! Yeah, I have fallen in love with mine in less than a week!
The more i watch your videos the more i want an 06 sti. this car is sexy.
Thanks man! SHe's getting repainted this summer & I have some other plans, so stay tuned. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the tutorial. More power to your channel
Dang, this video is great, i just got universal fit, drilled some holes, screwed them in and called it a day
Extremely helpful video, well done!
Awesome Video! Thanks for taking your time to make such a thrall installation video. I bought mine second hand so I didn’t have instructions or parts list

You're awesome man. Keep up the good quality vids!
+Isaac Machon Thanks for the support!
Very clear instructions. Thanks.
Thanks. Glad this helped.
My Fav Model! Nice !
I need to put some of these on before winter too. My paint is destroyed down the side of the wrx!
Very helpful, massive thumbs up mate.
+Maxk99 Thanks! Glad it helped you!
This video was incredibly helpful. THANK YOU!
Np man! Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
7:15-7:36 every subaru owner knows the struggle.....hate those damn clips
Lol. Honestly. & they use like 4 different types, so you have to try & figure out which one goes where. 😂
+HawkeyeSTiGuy ya exactly and if you try and get cheap ones from autozone they don't fit. you have to pay top dollar for subaru oem ones.
9697JAY Yep. spent $30 bucks. 😂
Excellent tutorial!
Thanks!
Subaru doesn't have a mudflap for the WRX? seems the rest of the models do. good video.
No, doesn't look like it.
great video man very detailed! the shots at the end were sexy

+JonnieBoy Thanks! 🙌🏻
Thanks for the great video! 🙏🏻👍🏻
Great instruction video man, thanks. Subscribed forsure.
Thanks!
Very helpful thank you so much
Awesome. I'm glad it helped. 👍🏻
Nicely done, thank you!
Thanks! Glad it helped!
What did you do to your headlights exactly? Did you bake them yourself? How did you delete the yellow marker in them?
Yeah. I baked them myself. I blacked out the chrome part & I sprayed the yellow reflector too. 👍🏻
HawkeyeSTiGuy I'd end up melting mine and totally messing up lol! Jealous of your courage to do it.
+Andrew Katsanos I was worried about melting it too. Haha. But you put it on a low temp, like 100*F or something for about 10 mins. Can u measure the hight from body to the end of mud flap.

I think it will be ok. You might be able to clean it out with a small pick or something.
What points do you use to jack up and place stands on? Thanks!
Typically I put them under the front subframe & in the back I use the pinch welds, or somewhere sturdy near there. I hate using the pinch welds though because it bends them over & pushes out the side skirts.

love it man. what wheels are those?
They are Prodrive GT1's, 18x8.5", in Gloss Anthracite Gray. Sadly, they've been discontinued. www.oakos.com/PRD430AN88553SP-I.htm
@@hawkeyestiguy thats a damn shame. hold on to those bad boys

@@hawkeyestiguy Appreciate the reply on a 5yo video! Result looks great for plastidip and will complement my diffuser well for an aggresive rear end 🍑
