Ronaldinho took messi under his wing from the beginning and was the first in the world to say "he will be the best". That was was pure love and no envy at all.
It is not difficult to be a leader when you have that natural disposition, like Maradona. It is incredibly more difficult to become a leader when you are super shy. That is one of Messi's greatest achievements.

He earned that privilege. They bought him over from Argentina at such a young age because he was an exceptional talent. They said usually, for that age, they only looked at Europe. Messi was an exception.

After xavi and Iniesta left barcelona messi scored 400 goals so not really messi was already great they just made him better and he did the same for them
It is so lucky to have R10 and Guardiola at the beginning of Messi's career. If R10 treated Messi like what Roy Keane did to Verón, Messi would not be successful in Barca. And Guardiola suggested Messi to change his diet to avoid injuries.

Yes there is the statistic, yes Messi is playin so constant since he began until now, his quality didn’t drop.
But for me Ronaldinho will always be the best football player ever stepped on the pitch, we will never see a player like him again and if he played in the era his statistic would also be much better, because football is dying more and more, he was the king when all kings ad legends in football were active, the competition against players like that, goals against the best defenders and goalkeepers is something no stats can show, one goal back then is more worth then 10 today.
