This is because Nintendo has a rule that they only make a new game if they have new ideas for it. Their games always feel fresh because of that. This is why they haven't made any new F-Zero games. They put all their racing ideas into the Mario Kart franchise lol

But now after seeing the trailers for Wonder, it’s safe to say that Nintendo still got it, they’re THE KINGS of 2D platformers
