I really like the idea of a alchemy profession, there is already an apothecary (though as far as I can tell it is unused), so it would easily fit in the world... maybe with a new npc to meet and interact with. All in all I want pretty well everything you talked about, especially more ability to sort through furniture recipes and more ability to utilize crafted furniture (recycling, gifting, etc). I'm love crafting furniture and trying to learn all the recipes.
I 1,000,000,000,000% support the pet idea! That being said - I think it would be crucial that they arent all the same. I think there should be many different types of pets that serve different purposes. Similarly to how dogs are bred for their genetic inclinations. For example, I would love to have a loyal hunting dog that retrieves my loot for me and helps me track prey. It would be great to have pets, but if theyre all the same it would be very boring in my opinion.
So true there are so many things already in the game that are exactly like everyone else's but a pet that had different skills that can be trained up or taught to the pet (Dog, Cat, Robot, Bird, or anything) being able to choose what kind of pet and working to train it up. Some pets would not be as good as others and some very rare pets. The player will have to find one they like and maybe beable to have more than one but only one outside their house at a time.

What kinda confused me is that Rath & Tish reference having lived in a city in Bahari Bay, and the Mayor is the brother of the Duchess of Bahari, but yet there is not city or village in Bahari Bay, let alone a Duchy Estate/castle. I wonder if Bahari will have an expansion?
As someone who's favorite animal is wolves I am desperate for a wolf pet or at least dogs lol. I agree with the UI customization. I really want a minimap though. I would love to be able to sit in chairs and lay on beds or even just sit on the ground, and would absolutely love to run a ranch. I want a option to bind a walk button. I hate having to run/jog everywhere when I want to just walk and admire the world and most of all I want mounts. And as an RPer myself I absolutely do want a emote chat. But I just gotta say I don't see the appeal in Hodari personally he isn't that good looking lol to me he looks like a uglier version of the GigaChad meme I just don't see what everyone else seems to see in him lol
Luckily furniture doesn't take up any chest space, so I don't mind keeping it. I still don't know if I won't use it in the future, I'm not that far into developing my plot and my house, and by watching NPC's houses, they mix and mach styles, and probably I will do the same thing.
I feel a bit empty while playing. I would love to see more life in this world. I don't mean I want a hundred interactable npcs. That would be nightmarish to track. But some more villagers who talk on the plaza or in the tavern. Or some traveling merchants or hunters or scholars. Right now the town feels so lifeless. Which feels so bad, because the world is beautiful. It would be good to have more environmental storytelling like in Guild Wars 2. Also not being able to sit on my sofa or sleep in my bed is a crime, I agree. This, missing from a game about cozy life is a bit of a crime.
I have heard people call this game an mmo, its not and i think its a mistake to be labelling it as such, having said that though it could be turned into a great mmo if they add things like more professions, player pets and mounts, more clothes/armour, PVE combat like dungeons, group quests and optional PVP combat, a player driven economy with an auction house or similar type of player store to buy and sell things and of course it would also need player to player trading in my opinion, all things that actual mmo's have but unfortunately i dont think think this game is going to see any of those things, i think they are already where they want to be wihth it. So much potential too, they have the makings of something amazing that just needs a wee bit more to it but as it is its a decent little time sink. Oh and they need to add a notification sound for whispers from players 😁
I love your ideas they would be so so good in the game. Growing the game would grow the community. We have our whole family playing now but adding these things would help the game not get boring quickly and people leaving the game once they have done a few things.
i would love to see jil being the tailor master so we can learn how to create new clothes, would be a great new profession, and i would love to see najuma beeing the engineer master, like creating things to make our tools better, our rollers our skate for us to move faster on the map.
I’m angry at how amazing your ideas are! Every last point you made were fantastic ideas that would just make the game SO much more immersive, addictive and most of all, cozy. Even if some of your requests are a very tall order for the dev team, I really REALLY hope that they at least take some of your (and others) ideas into account and slowly implement them into the game as the years go on. I truly believe it will continue to have players that are already interested have more reasons to play and invest into the game with all the opportunities and possibilities that Palia could have to offer. But for now, I’ll enjoy Palia for what it is and have hopes for what could come in the near future!
You can see it like that, I just love to speculate about new stuff in games I have no expectations regarding any of the idea. I just love the game and wanted to share the ideas which popped into my head as I was adventuring
I think husbandry would be awesome. We can take care of animals lik cows, chickens, etc. and have another way to get milk and eggs. Then we can make butter and cream.

There is not yet. My thinking is new maps will be added before launch and as content patches.
tish is the only NPC you can give furniture
I believe there is already a way to hide names. It's Streamer Mode in options. I haven't tested it yet, but that's what I heard it did anyway.
