- Buffalo Mountain Silver Couloir is one of North America's 50 Classic ski lines according to some and I tackled it on a beautiful April Day. This loop is about 4.75 miles long with 3,500ft of elevation gain to the summit of this prominent mountain in Summit County of Colorado.

If you can hit this with good conditions, its a classic for a reason - really fun spot.
That’s cool man. What’s a good trail like this but for a novice? I’m gonna stay in Silverthorne and Breck and pretty decent skier, just never skinned, so am virtually intimidated by the 3000ft ascend!

Gotta love skinning, the whole point is to be as lazy as possible.
Its funny because people keep telling me that, but I find bootpacking 100x eaiser. Making some progress - the soft snow stuck to the skins near the top was not it.
Was there any bootpacking on the climb up? Or were you able to skin it all?

My friend Blake Campo, (The same man who said you looked like a tub of mayonnaise a while back) went searching for you on Quandary peak and almost died. A rescue team of about 6 people retrieved his body and brough him down. He will be doing the same thing very soon and this time I am convinced he will die. Please look out for any corpses on your future hikes.
