In none of the stories, cinematics or anything has it been shown or stated that Thresh can pull your soul out whilist still alive. He always kills them.
He didn't say no one had crafted this deck before; just that people don't play it a lot, and he is not wrong. I don't think I have faced Lucian/Hecarim more than twice in the last month. Probably because you can easily disrupt it, but still, it's nice to see different decks that are fun to play even if they are tier 2.
The problem with it is they arent even tier 2 they arent even tier 3. They arent good but people will listen to him if he does say they are good which is bad for newer players. I personally love the brews but he needs to hold off on the hyping them up to much.

The problem is he is a big content creator and people that are newer to the game will look at these videos make the deck and have only that deck. Which if the deck isnt good it ends up leading to the person quitting. Never forget a loss is 2 times worse then how good a win feels. Which is super important for new player retention.
Dude, why did they change Vanguard Redeemer's voicelines? She was full of vigor and energy and she sounded like she was commanding an army! Now she just sounds depressed, and her new voicelines do not fit with her art anymore. I miss my angry girl.
There's some speculation that they couldn't get the old voice actress to do new voice lines for interactions with the new cards, so they changed them altoghether
Lucian's best combo in League is Braum, tho... I wonder if that would be a good deck concept? Braum can get chum blockers out of the way to make way for Lucian's big hit (or big blockers, to protect him)

But about the deck, I think it cooooould have some potential, maybe with a demacian allegiance deck based on bannerman, with braum and maybe a few frostbites or starlit seers, since what lucian lacks is protection. But in general terms, both champions are really diferent from each other, I don't see an optimal way to pair them to exploit their strong points. Braum tends to be a little more passive and reactive to the opponent, while Lucian is all about aggro and self sacrifice

I love how all 3 Demacian units in this deck are fighting the Shadow Isle when now they’re forced to work together (look at the expanded card art on some of the Demacian cards and Shadow Isle cards, you’d be surprised how much the Shadow Isle gives them problems)

Hey Mogwai, I built this deck with lucian and kalista instead of hecarim you should try that out too! I used the dawn speakers as a process with the asian crocodile on crawling sensation or hunted relics. Kalista revives a 7/7 body which is huge possibly reviving rekindle too into another kalista.

I was just thinking of a Hecarim build today when I got my first 2 shark chariots with wild cards from my weekly vault haul. I'm one off of a full set of Hecarim with enough shards to craft the 3rd. I opted instead to go back to the Ashe well. So far, while fun to play Fiora and Ashe just can not break out of the 50% range and I think the reason is that it's unsure what kind of deck it is. I generally keep good control of the board up until mid way through after that there are just too many late game options running out there that I am at a loss to deal with. Enlightened Karma, Commander Ledros, Brightsteel formation. I can detain, but like with Ledros he has a summoning effect that to date only Ionia possesses the means to deal with and that effect is a whopper cutting my nexus in half. I really try to focus on Fiora for the early game win, but there are too many options that deal with her too and if I fail the longer the game drags the more in my opponents favor it is.......So I've paired Ashe with a full set of Zed and retooled the concept to deal with the major weakness of Elusive decks. Because you punch through and deal damage quickly the lack of trades can really allow your opponent to have a hefty board state forcing your elusives to block. Thats where the frostbite strategy comes in and lets me use the freljord meat suits to play defense while my elusives and Zed are my primary offensive line. It's working considerably better than my previous strategy and I call it Black Ice. The fun term for unseen ice on the road that causes major accidents to happen. I'll be working with this one and it will likely be my first public deck. I would love to meet a strategy like the one in this video with it, I imagine there would be a lot of exciting back and forth.

I have been playing around with a mobalise shadow isles deck and its kinda crazy how much value you can get from spectral matron, rekindlers etc. Throw in an oblivious islander and you can do some phenominal discounting. I'd recomend trying it out if you want to go a bit more top heavy without getting run over by midrange aggro lists.

What about a deck based around the "when I'm summoned" effects? There's a fair number and they trigger no matter how they're summoned, so there's a lot of fun combos using revive and other such effects.
Mogwai, you should try out the card "Ren Shadowblade." I've tried iterations of the card in fairly successful control decks that have got me some consistent wins in platinum. I think the card is actually very strong if you can execute it with some protection. I've had games where placing down the card was able to secure me the win into some follower heavy decks. I've tried my own build of it using lifesteal, would love to see what you can come up with though.
Will there be an episode of progress day before the official release? I would be interested in some thoughts on the patch and a review of the open beta.

Can you do a kalista/hecarim shark chariot deck? she spawns a new shark chariot each time she attacks so you can get a ton going very quickly
