Hey there! In case you're confused by the uploads snd streams starting 1 hour earlier, Spain changed from CET to CEST a couple of days ago, basically our time changed haha
at 35:00 the quote is "That... I... don't remember that at all." because most of the shadow isles undead are part of the army hecarim was a general in, he doesn't quite "remember" shark charriots being a thing.
Should also be noted Hecarim was a human, not a centaur, when he was alive. Him and his riders were regular cavalry but the twisted magic of the ruination fused the knights with their horses.
Maybe, just maybe, they are the sharks that lived near the blessed isles when the ruined king incident happened? Probably they have sharks there before, we never know
As a hecarim enthusiast I have a few card tip ideas for anyone wanting to try this kind of archetype! - greenglade duo is amazing with haunted relic/onslaught of shadows, this also lets you level hecarim on his first attack - soul shepherd is a massively undervalued card with ephemerals, she tends to draw removal before you drop your hecarim - mist's call is your premium hecarim protecting option in a control matchup, its the only way to get him back after hard removal with spell mana (only use if you didnt get to attack though) - harrowing is a crazy powerful finisher and lets you end games on turn 7/8 against no deny/judgement matchups, it also lets you play more reckless with hecarim, can even run 2 of - using islander on hecarim when you have rekindler, another hecarim or harrowing in hand is a great way to surprise your opponent with a turn 5 hecarim swing They who endure + atrocity can be an extremely powerful finisher if you forego ionia splash for freljord. Kalista or braum are likely your best options for champions to replace Zed.
anyone remembering silent shadowseer? imo she's so scary alongside shepherd, she no longer die to vile feast and she also can enable shark from graveyard as well

They really need to change the positions of the riders on hecarims attack, either 1 on each side or both to hecarims left. It sucks so much when hecarim dies before the ephemerals can benefit from the aura.
While I think that would be a great minor buff, it would pose a major technical challenge, and anyway it's more flavourful this way as hecarim leads his riders into battle and grants them strength
Holy shit, that first game was jaw-dropping. Just utterly astounding. I didn't really understand how Dawn and Dusk on Hecarim worked until I saw that play. They are playing Hecarim! They don't need our help!" Aaahhh good times... I guess we've had our break from him for a couple of weeks. Now it's time we start running into him again in ladder.
Hecarim is actually one of my favourite champions because I like the way he plays, his statline, his artwork and flavour. I didn't mind when he was meta and run everywhere, and while I do appreciate the nerfs, it's a bit sad that most decks have dropped him. However, I do like him most in the ephemeral synergy decks and really look forward to trying this one out!
i think ephemeral decks have a very steep skill floor but have moderate skill ceiling require thats why i dont recommend to play ephemeral decks without prior testing and exercising mental endurance. Unlike ephemeral centered decks, Elusive decks have a very low skill floor but very high skill ceiling to pilot that's why u can play it and win even in prior try but unlike ephemeral decks elusive developmet in skill is rather slow and intensive than ephemeral decks
correct me if im wrong but didn't you miss lethal twice at 28:24 ? I'm not pointing this out in a negative way just trying to learn the game still. Can someone explain? He locked in his block with nothing blocking the shark chariot so if he clicks ok without playing anything doesn't the turn resolve without giving the yas player a chance to stun? and afterwards could he not have played mark of the isles to ramp the overwhelm up to lethal on hecarim? what cards is he playing around to not do that?
If he clicked OK, Hecarim would have died, causing shark chariot to lose the +3 power. I think he didn't use Mark of the Isles because he wasn't sure what spells his opponent might have in hand, so he wanted to preserve his Hecarim and his combat tricks for later.
I feel like Oblivious Islander is an obvious cut - this card is just weak unless you want to ramp into turn 5 Heca, but then you probably want additional Rekindlers. I would also play full set of Greenglade Duo - this card is just so explosive in this deck, a two drop that demands an answer (but maybe it's a meta call, depending on amount of Vile Feasts and Weils running around). Anyone tried to implement an Undying or a Silent Shadowseer to this deck? I really like this archetype and finally I don't feel like an asshole when I play Hecarim ;)
Midrange is for decks that adapt to different situations and control controls the board by killing it with a lot of spells (mystic shot, get excited etc.) At least I think
@Sagittarius A* Good explanation! Interesting to see your rock-paper-scissors is the reverse of what I usually see - I can't disagree with either take. What tends to happen is decks are built to prey on other region's weaknesses - An Aggro deck could focus on token swarming to punish lack of board clears, or burn to punish lack of healing, or in the case of Iceborn Spiders it evolves into an aggro/midrange shell with cards like Iceborn Legacy and They who Endure to close extended games. Likewise, Midrange decks can focus on early Tempo, shutting out Aggro before they can get minion damage in, or applying constant pressure with superior value or resilient boards to outlast a Control decks resources. In Runeterra especially, most decks don't really fit into one category - Elusive Midrange runs Zed, Freljord Control decks ran Elnuks, even Karma Control decks sometimes ends games quickly with Stand Aloned Elusives or strong Spider curve, etc. With some exceptions (Elusives) I think there aren't as many polarised matchups as there are/were in Hearthstone - the better/luckier player often can beat any deck with any deck.
There are several types of decks with the 3 most broad being "aggro" (trying to end the game early with low cost units and direct player health damage), "midrange" (trying to end the game in the middle, typically through board development/some kind of powerful card combo ), and "control" (trying to end the game late by stalling your opponent out until you can play expensive finishers or simply out-value their early-mid focused resources)
I don't understand @28:28 why you didn't just pass after blockers were declared, you would have hit him for 6 with the shark no? Edit:nevermind Hecarim dies and you loose the boost in damage.
Problem about ephemeral concept is you can't play them for defense most of the time. Also generally you need to find good combines in your hand. There are a lot of better cards at their costs. They just not worth to play considering they will be gone at the end of the round.

The Hecarim interaction with the Shark Chariot is pretty obvious tbh Basically he summons his allies and, well, he doesn't remember having shark chariots u.u
If he didn't save hecarim with the barrier, hecarim would have died and his +3 buff would disappear and shark would only deal 3 dmg and the enemy would have 1 hp left, at 28:22 you can even see the 1 hp. This is just FYI :)
I'm up for a Heimerdinger nerf, that only the first spell per round create a turret. Or that turrets are not fleeting but costs also mana. But creating multible 0 cost cards just from spells is too much.
The problem with heimer is literally just the flash of brilliance interaction so thats what needs to be fixed if anything. Flash could be changed to 0 mana and no longer restoring the spell mana or you could change where the elusive turret is placed on heimers mana chart. Overall I think that heimer is perfectly fine, a bit strong and highrolly but its not an uncontested tier 0 deck dominating everything to the point of being the only deck worth playing. He is kinda busted in expedition same as karma and lux.
Clicking OK would have let his opponent survive - his Hecarim would die, then Shark Chariot would lose the +3 bonus from Hec. He could have played Will of Ionia, true, but he was probably worried about the deny or another stun on Hecarim. My guess is he wanted to save WoI for a more sure-thing finisher or in case he needed it to bail him out later.

If he didn't save hecarim with the barrier, hecarim would have died and his +3 buff would disappear and shark would only deal 3 dmg and the enemy would have 1 hp left, at 28:22 you can even see the 1 hp. This is just FYI :)
Porque esse deus do LoR tem a bandeira do Brasil no fundo?
Mogwai try a deck with Lucian and Pack Mentality
Love you man, keep it up !
If Kalista brings back a unit with ephemeral and Lucian is on the field, both level up(2), you will have infinities rally ?
No because they only work the first time a unit dies or they attack in 1 turn.
28:25 he gave you lethal if you play nothing and just accept his blocks
Hecarim would have died, dropping the Shark Chariot back to a 3 power.
@@amphibiandude4882 oh, I see
Dam that last game was pro plays. makes up for the last few Mogwai miss plays lol
Why @28:26, you didnt just push Ok for the win?
or from you misplay, Will of Ionia to push Overwhlem damage in. Was that 2 misplays in a row? or is my noob ass missing something?
Clicking OK would have let his opponent survive - his Hecarim would die, then Shark Chariot would lose the +3 bonus from Hec.
He could have played Will of Ionia, true, but he was probably worried about the deny or another stun on Hecarim. My guess is he wanted to save WoI for a more sure-thing finisher or in case he needed it to bail him out later.
That first game finisher. 💦
Every deck is Mogwai's deck.
PLAY FIORA & SHEN PLEASE
13:34
Confused why you didn't go for the greenglade duo dawn and dusk lethal there if you were playing into whirling death anyways
Still showcased the power of hecarim dawn and dusk though👀
Yeah that’s what I thought
28:25 I mean if you 'Ok' you win straight up lol
Hecarim would have died, dropping the Shark Chariot back to a 3 power.
Vc é brasileiro?
My fav combo is shark t2 and scribe t3
@megamogwai is it a good thing I save most of your tube videos to my runeterra folder for UA-cam? By far you’re my favorite streamer / content creators! Keep it up see you on stream again... OoOLookTacos I’ll say hi some time again!
Im still waiting for a card for Faker
Beside 2 drop ionia elusive quite good
15:20 imagine enemy denies that
That would be really impressive considering the enemy isn't Ionia. I hate playing that card just to have it denied though
29:15 he could have will of Ionia and won
He was afraid of deny. I think it was pretty obvious why he played that way.
Impressive as LOR requires patience.
Me, seeing he hit rank 420: nice
Mogwai, half a second later: AWW FUCK YEAH (i'm 12)
same, man
Ending on rank 420 like a boss
Guys, what does midrange mean?
It's like between a rush and control I think
You don't want to deliberately stall the game out but you don't want to rush them down
Looks like your today video didn't show you drink water after the game at all. Where is your blue tumbler? LOL
Every deck is yours.
29:00 World's biggest miss play i've ever seen in my entire life. He could've give hecarim mark of isles and he would win easily.
John Wick He didn’t do it bcs Yasuo deck could had a Will of Ionia or a stun, U dummy
That Ephemerals Hecarim Was LOL
15:41 *N U T*
31:58 says he might have single combat, proceeds with death mark anyways on next turn when zed has barrier on him!🤣
Damn he's acting like know it all.. But still dumb af..
use deny man such a good spell
we need a card named 'this man'
Playing Ephemeral deck without Phantom Prankster like wtf am I watching dude
