Very thorough overview! Interesting to see it take shape over time. Jamaica as an independent country is relatively young (60+y) but the cultural entity evolved into today's Jamaica is centuries old. So many of JA's major towns were laid out a long time ago before cars were common (and for smaller populations too). If you look at Downtown's grid of narrow streets vs New Kingston you can easily tell which one wasn't planned with cars in mind. Many would benefit from something like the MBUC to relieve congestion in the historic towns. I know Port Antonio is getting Boundbrook and something was being planned for Falmouth too.

So how would you change all that you mentioned?
@ just to name a few things the government MUST do to improve the standard of living for all Jamaicans; 1, create a national health insurance make it mandatory for all Jamaicans to have health insurance. 2, use technology in crime fighting for example ensure all on duty police wear body cameras (audio and visual) also incorporates cameras in high crime area and create mobile police stations. 3, start holding parents especially mothers and girlfriends/ wife accountable for harboring criminals, for example it is well known and accepted that most of the delinquent people are 25 years or younger; while statistics also shows that most people without their own place of residence are also under 25 therefore, these parents and girlfriends/ wife are fully aware that these young men are involved in wrongdoings. How can you be driving cars, “braafing” etc without a for job etc. That’s just a few of what needs to be done.. What’s your take?
So can you name one previous government who have done it better?
