I am Canadian. I live in the County of Grey in the Province in Ontario. I used to be on municipal council. At that time, municipalities had to take responsibility for all the cemeteries (not religiously owned). I live in a rural area where families buried their loved ones on the farm plot so this was quite the task. One such plot was owned by the Hatton family. When I first saw it, I had to walk over a very dangerous bridge and be driven into the pasture. It was the only crypt I have ever seen inside. Someone had broken in a stole a skull and threw it in the bay. The story is too long but we got the skull back and restored the graveyard around the crypt. @Deborah Young Well done for restoring the skull to the crypt. It baffles me that someone can desecrate the remains of another person. I don't know how they can live with themselves. Sadly, I have seen more than one mausoleum here in Ireland desecrated.
My mother was from New Brunswick Canada and her parents worked for the government. My mother told me that the town would take care of cemeteries. It was very important around WW,2,, when there was a lot of burials of the soldiers. It's just a shame that both in life and in death there is no respect.
Videos of this kind used to give me bad dreams, but I have become hardened to seeing coffins and remains and see it all as part of history. You are a brilliant cameraman, taking your viewers into places they would otherwise never see. You have some beautiful churches and monuments over there in Ireland. My passed in 2004 and her grave at Catholic Church that was built in 1861 and was built with field stone the first church before that was log cabin in 1821 they have mass every July 4th there it has a old pot belly wood for heat wish I could show you pictures of it but I don’t know how to send them to you so you could see them. we have a famous Maher vault in Rookwood with a huge Celtic cross , he was a well to do furniture salesman in Australia , I wonder if he was a relative , loved the peek in the crypt those coffins are in great condition

That gate on the Chichester graveyard is magnificent! It certainly is a beautiful place to spend eternity. Maybe there isn’t any family left or they live very far away as happens in the modern world. Thank you for sharing the video with me.
It looks like the joinery on the edges were reinforced with angal iron to hold a inlay lead coffin preventing the joints from breaking with the weight I wonder what year the newer coffin was buried there

Depends on which way the wind and rain blows maybe. It seems to be well sheltered with big church beside it
