Sad about the homeless 😢. It could happen to anyone any time! Sad they had to sleep here. Those coffins were in great shape for their ages! Thanks Grave for this interesting tour💕. Merry Christmas to you Sue and your families 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎄🎄🎄❤️
Your videos are amazing, the history is very interesting and the age of the cemeterys you video tape are beautiful places. I appreciate the respect and reverence you have for the ancestors of millions. Here in America the history of the country isn't near the history you have. Tops 200 years, although in Galveston Texas there's a cemetery dating back to mid 17th century. Keep up the great work
GV.,I think that tomb with all the momentos and keepsakes is one of the truly saddest that you've explored .Almost like a bedroom for the eternal sleep . I 'm sure .here in the US ,homeless people are, using tombs to live rough .A terrible thing - but I'd like to think that the deceased. occupants would be happy to offer their eternal home as a temporary safeplace for occupants in need. Good things to you and Sue this holiday and newyear.
I am glad to see that some families have not forgotten their deceased family members, judging from the flowers left on the doors of some vaults. The coffins look to be in good condition, considering their age. There is no excuse for vandalism, absolutely none! Homelessness is a growing problem, here in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. Thank you very much for a great walking tour GV and Sue. Take care. 😊
The tomb with the football jersey did look like a little room. Lovely way to remember someone. I would love to visit that cemetery if I'm ever over there again.
We visited Glasneven a few years ago. I was surprised to find that there was a gift shop/restaurant/videos/tours of the graveyard! I bought a beautiful Irish Sweater there! The graves near the main building were well maintained but the further back you go, there is little to no maintenance done which I also found interesting!
Thanks G V. When we were in Egypt we saw the City of the dead. All the big moments etc have been taken over by family 's. The guide didn't want us to see it , but I had read about it. Greetings from Africa 🌍 xxxxx
Now for me, I have asked to be cremated but I am totally enchanted by the beautiful vaults with all the relatives merrily interred together for eternity. Bless their souls ❤👍
I do find it very interesting looking at old headstones and hearing about the lives of some of those who have passed but, I must admit, that it sometimes makes me feel saddened, especially the despoiled vaults. Sometimes I need to take a break from watching.
lovely video shame about the vandalism the coffins are incredible in such great condition i wonder if its because air is flowing in there hope you both have a lovely Christmas take care
great video! what happened to the coffins in the grave that had homeless people in it? i love that cemetery, its more like little apartments where i could have my comic books on display! lol
In the cemetary where my father is buried almost everytime we see deer or turkey , wild geese and of course birds of diffrent sorts. Always such a peacful feeling everytime i see life in a cemetary. Only one time did i feel odd was i had visited an old grave yard where some of my forebearers are intered. There was this huge head stone and sitting on top was a big black vulture. As i looked around in a few dead trees there was dozens of them all just perched in a stare. It was so creepy feeling i turned and left 😅 never been back. Very strang it was. This is a neat place with all those vaults. ❤
The situation with all the homeless people is appalling... And there are so many abandoned buildings and such that could be made available for temporary use... Many have no choice in Thier circumstances....😔
The old coffins were amazing❤️ Any port in a storm. If I was homeless that would be a good place. The door frame looks like it had been broken in along time ago and no window its very sad😪 Y'all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year❤️🥳❤️
There is a cemetery in the Philippines where families live in the tombs and actually care for the sarcophagi inside. They vacate totally when families visit. In Puerto Rico where I used to live, graves are for 5 years only. The bones are exhumed, cleaned (often by a family member) and placed in an ossuary for family , fraternal order or for clergy by denomination. It’s a sane thing. After the flesh is rotted, nothing of the person but bones is left, bones don’t look like your loved one and they believe nothing that they love about that person is left, just a pile of disjointed bones. They wash them and remove cloth or skin left, put them in a box and the cemetery worker will put them in the ossuary.
I agree that people shouldn't sleep in a cemetery, but I can understand that it is quiet and comparatively safe for the homeless. There is no excuse for graffiti, llitter, or vandalism.
@CatCmdr I can understand the pain and despair your daughter felt after being widowed. There is no way that I would condemn any grieving person for trying to stay close to the love of their life. I do hope your daughter is coping better now and the emotional healing has begun. She has all my sympathy.
Here in America the homeless problem is huge, literally tens of thousands all over America the government spends billions and if anything it's gotten worse the majority of homeless are there because of drugs and alcohol, they don't stand a chance, their treated better when they die, no one really cares it's really sad, I live Colorado Springs, Colorado it's in the Rockies and the weather is brutal in the winter it's heartbreaking.
Just watch a video or two of the homeless in Los Angeles or San Diego California.. sometimes it's something you cannot prevent you become homeless and sometimes you just don't want to do and take care of yourself and family and so you expect the government to take care of you so you become.. it swings both ways the pendulum and sometimes
Vandalism I do agree is disrespectful but the sleeping in there I do not. For all we know the people buried there wouldn’t mind either. The homeless just want somewhere dry and warm. Maybe we should start making little homes for the homeless.
I have been to Philippines quite manny times on diveing vecations and people that live on cemeteries there help out with work on the grounds and bricking up graves, they also keep an eye out for graverobbers so people there dosnt mind them living there. Amazing how the coffins remain in tact after all these years .
Vault must be dry

G.V. and Serenity Sue.
Beautiful monuments. The land of the dead giving shelter to the homeless. They must respect the places, not deface them.
WOW Beautiful
One of them had an American casket

The tomb with the football jersey did look like a little room. Lovely way to remember someone. I would love to visit that cemetery if I'm ever over there again.
It looked like a young guy’s bedroom, through and through ❤ That family is surely missing that special young man this holiday season.
You should! Well worth the visit

I bought a mug and some books always love going here
A lovely video. Relaxing and informative. Those Irish cemeteries are so peaceful -- A celebration of lives that are past.
Glad you enjoyed it
I like the video and style! Recommendation: get a high 2k (preferably 4k+) video camera. More FPS the better. It will make a big difference...
Maybe santa will bring me a new phone 🎅
Wow; your cemeteries are amazing - how sad the homeless have to resort to lodging there:(
It's a big problem here
@@GraveVisitations I can relate; I worry so much for my young, adult children here in U.S. with the soaring rents!
Beautiful as wow New Zealand 🇳🇿💯 fan now
Thanks for watching happy Christmas

Good Day To You !!
Hello 👋
GV. Great video. Amazing graveyard ❤❤ so verry special to see this beautiful " street of Vaults" thank you so much
I do find it very interesting looking at old headstones and hearing about the lives of some of those who have passed but, I must admit, that it sometimes makes me feel saddened, especially the despoiled vaults. Sometimes I need to take a break from watching.
Looks. A. Great. Day.

Happy holidays! Guys
Greetings from Poteet Texas
Happy new year Gary
I would be terrified to sleep in that open tomb,I wouldn’t get a wink of sleep all night.another amazing vid folks :0)
I'd be dead tired after all the walking lol
lovely video shame about the vandalism the coffins are incredible in such great condition i wonder if its because air is flowing in there hope you both have a lovely Christmas take care
Looks dry and ventilation in door must keep them fresh
great video! what happened to the coffins in the grave that had homeless people in it? i love that cemetery, its more like little apartments where i could have my comic books on display! lol
Coffins are in vault below I was looking at top part is just family monuments
In the cemetary where my father is buried almost everytime we see deer or turkey , wild geese and of course birds of diffrent sorts. Always such a peacful feeling everytime i see life in a cemetary. Tell them to go away lol
The situation with all the homeless people is appalling... And there are so many abandoned buildings and such that could be made available for temporary use... Many have no choice in Thier circumstances....😔
Seems the Irish are second best when it comes to housing
Very large and beautiful place. There is no place for vandalism anywhere.
The old coffins were amazing❤️ Any port in a storm. If I was homeless that would be a good place. The door frame looks like it had been broken in along time ago and no window its very sad😪 Y'all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year❤️🥳❤️
My thoughts exactly
Have you ever gotten spooked while looking into a crypt opening and almost seeing an eye ball looking back ???
It is sad when the dead have better accommodations than the living , there is definitely no excuse for vandalism.😢
I wonder how much a family vault was purchased for back then? And the cost of a Statue?
Not sure tbh maybe in around a few thousand
@@GraveVisitations I am guessing way more than a few. Thousands well back then . In today's money ....
Wow! Six million people
1.6 million
@@GraveVisitations oh ok I must of misunderstood that lol
Is that the same place you heard a voices
Not sure what cemetery you mean?
There is a cemetery in the Philippines where families live in the tombs and actually care for the sarcophagi inside. They vacate totally when families visit. In Puerto Rico where I used to live, graves are for 5 years only. The bones are exhumed, cleaned (often by a family member) and placed in an ossuary for family , fraternal order or for clergy by denomination. It’s a sane thing. I do believe it is disrespectful to sleep in the cemeteries, especially as they often leave garbage and graffiti behind.
I agree that people shouldn't sleep in a cemetery, but I can understand that it is quiet and comparatively safe for the homeless. There is no excuse for graffiti, llitter, or vandalism.
In her grief, my daughter has slept on top of her husbands grave. I shall never fault her for that. ❤

@@Boogledigs Thank You. God Bless ❤️
@@CatCmdrI can understand that. Blessings to your daughter.
Did remember those times seeing people living in the cemetery at different parts of the Philippines when i was growing up during the 70's and 80's.
Happy Holidays to you and Sue!
The homeless situation is tragic, I wish there was more help available for them. Thankyou for this video, it was very touching xxx
Thanks for watching and a very happy Christmas to you and family 🎄

Definitely wasn't the homeless

Stockpiling the dead. Saving for another day?
Not much room left

No need for graffiti

Don’t do that.
I just listened back, nice catch 👍
